Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence

The Galaxy M04 is a December 2022 device, and that date is the key to reading it today. Samsung no longer sells or describes it: its sitemap returns no link for the model and direct product URLs return 404. Two things survive at the manufacturer. The first is a support page titled «Galaxy M04 (4 GB Memory)» for model SM-M045F/DS, carrying the user manual files — the newest of them a revision issued in 2024 under the shared SM-A04X_E045F_M045F filename, meaning Samsung kept updating this platform's documentation more than a year after launch. The second is the security-update page, which places the M04 in the quarterly bracket alongside the M05, M06 and M07, while the monthly bracket is reserved for the S series and the foldables. The practical difference is that a patch can take up to three months to arrive. The hardware, meanwhile, is a zone of silence: nothing at Samsung today about panel resolution, refresh rate, processor name or charger output.
