Overview
The Galaxy S20 FE is a budget phone from Samsung, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 115 (about $160), up to about JOD 135 for higher storage — also an estimate — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.
Its main highlights: its strong 32 MP selfie camera, and its vivid OLED display. Its chipset is mid-tier (58/100 on our spec-based index) — the usual class for social media, video, photos and light games.
Performance-index rank: #41 of 342 Samsung phones we list — and its performance-per-dinar is among the highest we list (an arithmetic ratio, not a verdict on value).
Why consider it?
The Fan Edition kept the parts that matter: a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED at FHD+ and 120Hz, three rear cameras including an 8MP 3x optical telephoto, a 32MP selfie camera, a 4500mAh battery, IP68 and a memory-card slot that takes up to 1TB.
Who it suits
Someone who wants a 120Hz screen, a high-resolution front camera and expandable storage at mid-range money, and knows they are buying a phone announced in autumn 2020.
Who should look elsewhere
Not for a buyer shopping by marketing name: Samsung Levant lists two different models under this one name, and they differ in both silicon and network support.
Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence
Samsung's S20 FE table is refreshingly direct. The panel is a flat 6.5-inch Super AMOLED at 1080x2400 and 407ppi, running at 120Hz. The battery is 4500mAh typical with a 4370mAh rated minimum, alongside 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5 memory, 128GB or 256GB of storage, and a hybrid card slot rated to 1TB. The selfie camera is 32MP; the rear set is a 12MP ultra-wide at 123 degrees, a 12MP F1.8 wide with optical stabilisation, and an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. IP68 and Android 10 at launch round it out, and the sensors row specifies an optical fingerprint reader - one of the places where the Fan Edition traded down, since the S20 and S20+ tables specify an ultrasonic one.
Two published details decide a used purchase here. The first is charging: Samsung's footnote says 25W applies "when using 25W charger, sold separately" and that a 15W charger came in the box, so do not assume the brick bundled with a second-hand unit is the fast one. The second is the processor. The table prints two 7nm octa-core configurations and names neither, and Samsung Levant's support catalogue carries two models under this single name, SM-G780F and SM-G781B/DS. Two phones sold as the same product can therefore differ in both chip and network generation.
And the name itself no longer appears on Samsung's security-update table at all - the nearest entry is the S21 FE from the following year.
Alternatives worth comparing
- Infinix Hot 60 5G — The same money (≈ 115 JD) buys a 2025 phone with a 5160mAh battery, a 6.7-inch 120Hz screen and native 5G. It scores 48 on our spec index against 58 here and has no zoom lens, but its software window has barely opened. (115 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above
If a 120Hz screen, three lenses including real optical zoom and expandable storage are what you want for ≈ 115-≈ 135 JD, this is a strong sheet for a phone of this age. If 5G is a requirement, the model number decides it rather than the name: Samsung Levant carries both SM-G780F and SM-G781B under the same label, and nothing on the box or in the listing tells the two apart.

What does that mean in plain words?
Battery: 4,500 mAh — a mid-size capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 25W — standard (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: AMOLED FHD+, 6.5-inch — an OLED panel (true blacks, higher contrast than LCD).
Camera: 12+12+8 MP (3 lenses) plus a 32 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.
Pros & cons
Pros
- A flat 6.5-inch Super AMOLED at 1080x2400 and 407ppi running at 120Hz
- Three genuine rear cameras - a 12MP 123-degree ultra-wide, a 12MP stabilised wide and an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom - plus a 32MP front camera
- IP68, a 4500mAh battery (4370mAh rated minimum) and a microSD slot rated to 1TB
Cons
- The fingerprint reader here is optical, where Samsung's tables for the S20 and S20+ specify an ultrasonic sensor - a deliberate Fan Edition saving
- Samsung states in its own footnote that the in-box charger is 15W and that 25W requires a charger sold separately
- The phone is off Samsung's security-update table; the closest name still on it is the S21 FE, one generation later
