Overview
The Honor Play 50 Plus is a budget phone from Honor, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 89 (about $125) — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.
Its main highlights: its big 6,000 mAh battery, and its large 6,000 mAh battery. Its chipset is basic (38/100) — calls, WhatsApp and light browsing, as a first or backup phone.
Performance-index rank: #111 of 234 Honor phones we list.
Why consider it?
The larger half of the Play 50 pair: a 6.8-inch 2412x1080 panel and a 6000mAh battery with 35W charging — sold under one official name only, 荣耀畅玩50 Plus, on HONOR's Chinese site.
Who it suits
Someone who wants a big, genuinely sharp screen and a battery that clears a long day for very little money, and is relaxed about owning a phone built for another market.
Who should look elsewhere
Anyone who counts update years before buying, needs NFC for payments, or wants video above 1080p.
Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence
HONOR publishes this phone on its Chinese site as 荣耀畅玩50 Plus, and nowhere else: the equivalent global URL returns a 404, and the network row on the official table names Chinese carriers only, so it arrives in Jordan as an import. The headline number is the display. It is a 6.8-inch TFT LCD, but at 2412x1080 — a real Full HD+ panel rather than the 720p stretched panel that keeps turning up at this price — with a refresh rate reaching 90Hz. That is precisely where it parts company with the plain Play 50, whose screen is 6.56 inches at 720x1612. The rest of the differences run the same way: 6000mAh typical (5900mAh rated) with a charger logged at 11V/3.2A, against 5200mAh and a 5V/2A charger on the cheaper model; a 50MP f/1.8 main camera plus a 2MP depth sensor and an 8MP selfie camera, against a single 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front; and stereo speakers with dual Hi-Res certification that the smaller model's table does not mention at all. Running the other way, the chip here is logged as a Dimensity 6020, two A76 cores at 2.2GHz and six A55 cores at 2.0GHz with Mali-G57 graphics, while the cheaper Play 50 records a Dimensity 6100+ at the same peak clock with G57 graphics too — a difference more visible in the name than in the table. More seriously, the software here is MagicOS 7.2 on Android 13, whereas the Play 50 starts on Android 14, which cuts against the pricier phone. The body is 166.7 x 76.5 x 8.24mm at 199g, with a side fingerprint reader, USB 2.0 over Type-C and a 3.5mm jack.
Alternatives worth comparing
- Galaxy A24 — At the same price (≈ 89 JD) the Galaxy A24 offers three rear cameras at 50+5+2 and a Helio G99, from a brand that sells globally — against a smaller 6.5-inch screen and 5000mAh instead of 6000mAh. (89 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›
- Realme Narzo N65 5G — At the same price (≈ 89 JD) the Narzo N65 is a year newer on a Dimensity 6300, with a 6.67-inch 90Hz screen — but its battery is 5000mAh, a full 1000mAh behind the Play 50 Plus. (89 JOD · estimate)

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above
If a large, genuinely sharp screen and a big battery are the priorities, and a China-market import does not bother you, 6.8 inches of Full HD+ with 6000mAh and 35W charging at ≈ 89 JD is a sensible trade. If you plan to keep the phone for years, its Android 13 starting point is the limit that no discount changes.

What does that mean in plain words?
Battery: 6,000 mAh — a very large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 35W — standard (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: IPS LCD FHD+, 6.77-inch — an LCD panel; lower contrast than OLED, and the norm at this price.
Camera: 50+2 MP (2 lenses) plus a 8 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.
Pros & cons
Pros
- Resolution is where the money went: 2412x1080 across 6.8 inches, a real Full HD+ panel, where the plain Play 50 is 720x1612 across 6.56 inches.
- 6000mAh typical (5900mAh rated) with a charger logged at 11V/3.2A, which HONOR markets as 35W — the smaller sibling records 5200mAh and a 5V/2A charger.
- A 50MP f/1.8 main camera with a 2MP depth sensor, an 8MP selfie camera, and stereo speakers carrying dual Hi-Res certification.
Cons
- It starts on MagicOS 7.2 over Android 13 — a generation behind its own cheaper sibling, which ships on Android 14, so the update window is shorter from day one.
- The spec table lists no NFC and no ingress rating, and connectivity stops at Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.1.
- Video is capped at 1080p on both cameras, and zoom is digital only, up to 10x, with no telephoto lens.

Specification ambiguity: Some spec fields on this page (battery_mah, chip, front_cam, ram_gb, screen_in) could not be matched to the manufacturer's own page — either the maker does not publish them, publishes a different figure, or the name covers more than one variant.
