Overview

The Huawei P60 Pro is a mid-range phone from Huawei, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 329 (about $465), up to about JOD 389 for higher storage — also an estimate — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.

Its main highlights: ultra-fast 88W charging, and its sharp, bright display. Its chipset is in the strong tier (75/100 on our spec-based index) — on paper a fit for heavy daily use and most games.

Performance-index rank: #2 of 226 Huawei phones we list.

Why consider it?

The top of the P60 family at ≈ 329 JD, up to ≈ 389: an LTPO panel that ranges from 1 to 120Hz, a 48MP main camera behind a physically variable F1.4-F4.0 aperture, a 48MP F2.1 telephoto, and 88W wired plus 50W wireless charging. All of it on 4G only.

Who it suits

Someone who shoots in poor light and wants a large-aperture stabilised telephoto, and who is content to stay on 4G and get apps from Huawei's own store.

Who should look elsewhere

Anyone who needs 5G, and anyone whose daily routine depends on apps that only arrive through Google's store.

Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence

The table read here is Huawei's global English sheet on consumer.huawei.com, retrieved from the Internet Archive, because Huawei has pulled the live product page in every market including its Levant site. It opens with the display: 6.67 inches of LTPO OLED at 2700 x 1220 and 1.07 billion colours, with an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh range, 1,440Hz PWM dimming, up to 300Hz touch sampling and TUV Rheinland's dual colour-accuracy certification. The processor is spelled out in full as the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4G Mobile Platform, eight cores peaking at 3.2GHz, with a GPU Huawei names only as Adreno, running EMUI 13.1 over 8GB/256GB or 12GB/512GB. The cameras, in Huawei's own order, are a 48MP main with the variable F1.4-F4.0 physical aperture, OIS and an RYYB sensor; a 13MP F2.2 ultra-wide; and a 48MP F2.1 telephoto with OIS. The focal lengths are 24.5mm, 13mm and 90mm, giving 3.5x optical and 100x digital zoom. The selfie camera is 13MP at F2.4. The battery is 4,815mAh typical and 4,715mAh rated, charging at 88W wired and 50W wireless with a separately sold pad. Then come IP68 and Kunlun Glass, and a network list that stops at LTE. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 with LDAC, USB-C at USB 3.1 Gen 1, an infrared sensor, a laser sensor and a colour-temperature sensor close it out, with a charger and cable in the box.

Alternatives worth comparing

  • Realme GT 6 — The same ≈ 329 JD and a year newer, with 5G, Google's store and a 5,500mAh battery on our record - in exchange for giving up an optical telephoto entirely. (329 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›
  • Oppo Reno 13 5G — Also ≈ 329 JD and two years newer, with 5G and a 5,600mAh battery, but on a mid-range Dimensity 8350 rather than a Qualcomm flagship, and with no variable physical aperture. (329 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above

If you are buying it for night photography and reach specifically, it delivers exactly what Huawei printed: the F1.4-F4.0 variable aperture, the 48MP F2.1 telephoto and 88W, at ≈ 329 JD and up to ≈ 389. The limit that never moves is that this is a 4G phone whose apps come from Huawei's store, and no update changes either of those.

Approximate ratings computed from the published specs (display type and refresh rate, cameras, battery and charging, and price vs. performance) — not lab tests.

What does that mean in plain words?

Chipset: Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 4G — a strong tier (75/100 on specs), on paper suited to most games and demanding apps.
Battery: 4,815 mAh — a large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 88W — among the fastest around (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: LTPO AMOLED 1.5K, 6.67-inch — above-FHD resolution; OLED means true blacks and high contrast.
Camera: 48+48+13 MP (3 lenses) plus a 13 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • All three rear lenses are serious on Huawei's sheet: a 48MP main with a physically variable F1.4-F4.0 aperture, OIS and an RYYB sensor; a 13MP ultra-wide; and a 48MP telephoto at F2.1 with OIS on a 90mm focal length, which is 3.5x optical.
  • 88W wired and 50W wireless charging on a 4,815mAh battery (4,715mAh rated), with Huawei's own lab figure of 50% in ten minutes with Turbo mode switched on.
  • A 6.67-inch LTPO OLED at 2700 x 1220 with 1,440Hz PWM dimming and up to 300Hz touch sampling, behind Kunlun Glass that Huawei says earned a five-star drop-resistance certification from Switzerland's SGS, plus IP68.

Cons

  • The silicon is explicitly the 4G part - Huawei prints "Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4G" - and the network table carries no 5G band at all, on either the single-SIM or the dual-SIM model.
  • The published operating system is EMUI 13.1 and no Google service is named anywhere on the sheet; Huawei's own page calls AppGallery "the official app distribution platform for HUAWEI devices".
  • The table lists no memory-card slot and no update window, and names the GPU only as "Adreno" with no model number; the 12GB tier also only ever shipped paired with 512GB.

Note: Unverified reference estimate (derived from launch pricing and comparable phones) — a starting point for negotiation, not a confirmed price. Specs come from official manufacturer announcements and the locally available variant may differ slightly; the indices are computed from specs and we have not tested the phone ourselves. USD equivalents use the official peg.
Specification ambiguity: Some spec fields on this page (ram_gb / storage, rear_cam) could not be matched to the manufacturer's own page — either the maker does not publish them, publishes a different figure, or the name covers more than one variant.
