Overview
The Huawei Pura 70 Pro is a mid-range phone from Huawei, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 399 (about $565), up to about JOD 459 for higher storage — also an estimate — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.
Its main highlights: ultra-fast 100W charging, and its sharp, bright display. Its chipset is mid-tier (64/100 on our spec-based index) — the usual class for social media, video, photos and light games.
Performance-index rank: #27 of 226 Huawei phones we list.
Why consider it?
The Pura 70 Pro is one of the few Huawei phones whose processor the company actually names in print: an octa-core Kirin 9010 on the Saudi spec sheet. Around it sit a 6.8-inch LTPO panel at 2844x1260, 100W wired and 80W wireless charging, and a 5050mAh cell. That same sheet, for model HBN-LX9, lists no 5G band at all.
Who it suits
A buyer who ranks a variable-aperture main camera and very fast charging above everything else, and who already accepts that the apps come from Huawei's own store and the network will be LTE.
Who should look elsewhere
Not for anyone waiting on 5G, and not for anyone whose banking or government apps have to come from Google's store.
Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence
The table used here is Huawei's Saudi (KSA) sheet, because the Pura 70 Pro page no longer exists on the global site or on Huawei Levant; the models it covers are the HBN-LX9 in single- and dual-SIM form. The first thing worth noting is that Huawei names the silicon here at all — octa-core Kirin 9010 — a row it leaves empty on several phones launched after it. The display is LTPO OLED, 6.8 inches at 2844x1260 and 460 ppi, running 1-120Hz adaptively with 1440Hz PWM dimming and 1.07 billion colours. The battery is 5050mAh typical, 4950mAh rated, with wired SuperCharge up to 100W and wireless up to 80W. The camera roles deserve care, because they get shuffled constantly elsewhere: the main sensor is 50MP with a mechanically variable f/1.4-f/4.0 aperture and OIS; the ultra-wide is 12.5MP at f/2.2; the third is a 48MP macro telephoto at f/2.1 with OIS. Huawei prints the focal lengths as 24.5mm, 13mm and 92.5mm, which puts the optical reach at 3.5x — everything past that is digital, whatever the 100x headline number suggests. The selfie camera is 13MP with autofocus, protection is IP68 to two metres for half an hour, and memory is 12GB with 512GB and no card slot. Two rows decide this phone in Jordan: the network row that ends at LTE, and the system row that reads EMUI 14.2 with Huawei's store standing in for Google's.
Alternatives worth comparing
- Galaxy S25 Edge — At the same ≈ 399 JOD it answers the two things the Pura 70 Pro cannot: 5G and the full Google platform, on a Snapdragon 8 Elite with a spec index of 92 against 64. The trade is the battery — 3900mAh against 5050mAh — so you are swapping endurance for compatibility. (399 JOD · estimate)
- Oppo Reno 14 5G — Also ≈ 399 JOD, with a 6000mAh battery, a 6.59-inch 120Hz screen and a Dimensity 8350, plus 5G and Google's store. It has nothing to match Huawei's variable aperture, but it is a 2025 phone with no strings attached to your app list. (399 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above
Worth the ≈ 399 to ≈ 459 JOD range if a mechanically variable f/1.4-f/4.0 main camera and 100W charging are what you are actually buying, and you are comfortable installing your apps from Huawei's store. The honest ceiling is printed in Huawei's own table and cannot be worked around: this model lists no 5G band, so if you plan to keep the phone for years on a Jordanian network that keeps widening its 5G footprint, you are accepting a fixed limit on day one.

What does that mean in plain words?
Battery: 5,050 mAh — a large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 100W — among the fastest around (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: OLED 1.5K, 6.8-inch — above-FHD resolution; OLED means true blacks and high contrast.
Camera: 50+48+12 MP (3 lenses) plus a 13 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.
Pros & cons
Pros
- The processor is named outright on Huawei's Saudi page — octa-core Kirin 9010 — alongside 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, which is unusual for Huawei: several newer models leave that row blank
- Up to 100W wired and 80W wireless SuperCharge on a 5050mAh typical cell (4950mAh rated), with a charger listed in the box contents
- A 6.8-inch LTPO OLED at 2844x1260 and 460 ppi, 1-120Hz adaptive refresh, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and IP68 to 2 metres for 30 minutes
Cons
- No 5G: the network table for the HBN-LX9, in both single- and dual-SIM form, lists LTE, WCDMA and GSM and nothing beyond
- The operating system is recorded as EMUI 14.2, and AppGallery is — in Huawei's own words — the official app distribution platform for its devices, so check your app list before you buy rather than after
- Optical zoom stops at 3.5x on a 92.5mm lens, shorter than the 5x on the cheaper plain Pura 70, and there is no external memory card support
