Overview

The iPhone 14 Pro is an upper mid-range phone from Apple, with the 128GB variant (new) observed from about JOD 504 (about $710) in local classified listings for new units on 30 September 2026. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.

Its main highlights: its vivid OLED display. Its chipset is in the strong tier (76/100 on our spec-based index) — on paper a fit for heavy daily use and most games.

Performance-index rank: #18 of 46 Apple phones we list.

Why consider it?

The 14 Pro is the cheapest way into an Apple Pro-class screen — ProMotion to 120 Hz plus a real 3x optical telephoto — at 504 JOD. It is also the last Pro generation Apple left off its published Apple Intelligence device list.

Who it suits

Someone who wants three genuine rear lenses and a ProMotion panel for mid-range money, and who has no interest in Apple's newer on-device AI layer.

Who should look elsewhere

Heavy users who are away from a charger all day, and anyone planning to hold this phone another four or five years while expecting Apple's newest features to arrive.

Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence

This generation was the last big redesign of the iPhone before titanium and USB-C arrived: the Dynamic Island replaced the notch, the display gained the Always-On mode, and the main camera moved from 12 MP to 48 MP. Apple's sheet lists a 6.1-inch OLED at 2556x1179 and 460 ppi with ProMotion up to 120 Hz, an A16 Bionic with a 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU, and three rear lenses — 48 MP main, 12 MP ultra wide, 12 MP 3x telephoto.

What actually decides this phone in 2026 is not the glass or the lenses, it is the software runway. Apple lists this model among iOS 26 devices, so it still receives the current OS. But Apple's Apple Intelligence roster starts with the following generation, and no later update pulls this one in. Read that plainly: you get a current OS and security patches, without the newer intelligence layer built on top of it.

Battery is the second compromise, and it is partly a reporting problem. Apple publishes no mAh and no charging wattage for iPhone; the only two figures on the page are up to 23 hours of video playback and roughly 50% charge in about thirty minutes using a 20 W adapter or higher. Any other capacity number you see for this model comes from a teardown, not from Apple. At 504 JOD, 2025 Android rivals in the same bracket quote far larger cells.

One practical check before you pay: the spec page for this generation is built around eSIM, and some market versions ship with no SIM tray at all. Confirm the actual unit and confirm your operator supports eSIM.

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above

If your non-negotiables are optical zoom and a 120 Hz Apple panel for the smallest sum possible, this remains a sound pick at 504 JOD. If you are buying for the long run and you care about Apple's newer feature set, look one generation up. Either way, the health of a used 2022 battery is not something a spec sheet can tell you.

What does that mean in plain words?

Chipset: Apple A16 Bionic — a strong tier (76/100 on specs), on paper suited to most games and demanding apps.
Battery: 3,200 mAh — a relatively small capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 20W — standard (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: OLED FHD+, 6.1-inch — an OLED panel (true blacks, higher contrast than LCD).
Camera: 48+12+12 MP (3 lenses) plus a 12 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Three physical rear lenses on Apple's own sheet — a 48 MP main, a 12 MP ultra wide and a 12 MP 3x telephoto, adding up to a 6x optical zoom range
  • A 6.1-inch OLED at 2556x1179 and 460 ppi, ProMotion up to 120 Hz, with the Always-On display
  • Named on Apple's official iOS 26 compatibility list even though the phone shipped in 2022

Cons

  • Missing from Apple's Apple Intelligence device list, which begins with the very next generation — no future update fixes that
  • Apple publishes a single battery number, up to 23 hours of video playback, and no capacity in mAh at all
  • A Lightning port instead of USB-C, and Apple quotes no data transfer speed for it on the spec sheet
