Overview

The itel Power 80 is a budget phone from itel, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 99 (about $140) — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.

Its main highlights: its big 7,000 mAh battery, and its large 7,000 mAh battery. Its chipset is basic (24/100) — calls, WhatsApp and light browsing, as a first or backup phone.

Performance-index rank: #8 of 84 itel phones we list.

Why consider it?

A 7,000mAh battery plus itel-stated IP68/IP69 protection. That is the whole product; everything else on the sheet exists to make those two numbers affordable.

Who it suits

Someone who spends the day away from a charger, works around dust or water, and uses a phone for calls, messaging, maps and video rather than gaming.

Who should look elsewhere

Anyone who reads a lot on screen and cares about text sharpness, wants 5G, plays demanding games, or taps to pay with NFC.

Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence

The Power 80 is a battery with a phone built around it, and itel is not coy about that. 7,000mAh sits well above the 5,000mAh that almost everything in this bracket ships with, and the rest of the specification is arranged to keep that number affordable rather than to compete anywhere else.

The processor is a Unisoc T7250, an octa-core 12nm entry-level part. In practice that covers calls, messaging, browsing, maps and video comfortably. Heavy 3D gaming is not what the chip was designed for, and nothing about the price implies otherwise, so treat any claim that it 'handles everything' with suspicion.

The 6.78-inch panel runs at 120Hz, which does make scrolling feel smooth. But itel's own sheet describes the resolution only as HD+, and spread across a screen this size that means a low pixel density. Small text and fine detail are where you notice it; a high refresh rate improves motion, it does not add pixels.

Charging is 18W over Type-C. That is the identical wattage itel fits to its 5,000mAh models, so a substantially larger cell at the same input takes correspondingly longer to refill. In exchange you get durability that is unusual here: itel's Pakistan site lists IP68 and IP69 ratings alongside drop protection, which affects daily life more than a megapixel count does.

The cameras are a single 50MP rear and an 8MP front. We have not tested this phone, so we will not describe how its pictures look. Software is Android 16 with itel OS 16 out of the box. The omissions are plainly stated: 4G only, and no NFC anywhere in itel's Power 80 listing.

Alternatives worth comparing

  • Tecno Spark 30 Pro — Around the same money at ≈ 99, with a noticeably stronger Helio G100 and a 108MP camera. It gives back the endurance, though — 5,000mAh and no ingress rating. Pick it if speed matters more than survival. (99 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›
  • Galaxy A16 4G — At JOD 111 (observed), it is JOD 12 more expensive. Compare the variants before deciding: 128GB versus 128GB storage, 5,000 versus 7,000 mAh, and Helio G99 versus Unisoc T7250. These are specification differences, not measured performance or battery life. (111 JOD · observed)

Strengths and trade-offs in detail ›

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above

If your first requirement is that the phone is still alive at the end of a long day and survives dust, water and a drop, the Power 80 delivers that at ≈ 99 and very little else at this price does. You have to accept the trade in clarity, though: an HD+ panel stretched over 6.78 inches, an entry-level chip, no 5G and no NFC. It is excellent at one job and ordinary at everything else.

What does that mean in plain words?

Chipset: Unisoc T7250 — basic tier (24/100): calls, WhatsApp and light browsing.
Battery: 7,000 mAh — a very large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 18W — standard (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: IPS LCD HD+, 6.78-inch — an LCD panel; lower contrast than OLED, and the norm at this price.
Camera: 50 MP (1 lens) plus a 8 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • 7,000mAh where most phones at this price stop at 5,000mAh — the figure is on itel's own spec sheet.
  • itel states IP68 and IP69 ratings plus drop protection, which is genuinely rare at ≈ 99.
  • Ships on Android 16 with itel OS 16, a newer software starting point than much of what sits beside it on the shelf.

Cons

  • 6.78 inches at HD+ per itel — a large panel at low pixel density, and small text is where that shows first.
  • 18W charging: the same input itel fits to its 5,000mAh phones, so a much larger cell takes proportionally longer to fill.
  • 4G only, no 5G — and itel does not list NFC for the Power 80, though it lists it explicitly for the cheaper City 200s.
