Overview
The Motorola ThinkPhone is a lower mid-range phone from Motorola, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 209 (about $295) — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.
Its main highlights: its strong 32 MP selfie camera, and its vivid OLED display. Its chipset is in the strong tier (77/100 on our spec-based index) — on paper a fit for heavy daily use and most games.
Performance-index rank: #6 of 216 Motorola phones we list.
Why consider it?
A phone built to be a work tool rather than a spec sheet: a programmable red key, an aramid-fibre inlay, and Motorola's ThinkShield and Moto KeySafe layers, wrapped around a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and a 5,000mAh battery at ≈ 209 JD. Behind it sit two working lenses and a depth sensor - no optical zoom at all.
Who it suits
Someone who needs a durable work handset with two physical SIMs, IP68 and 68W charging, and who will actually use the single USB-C port to drive an external screen.
Who should look elsewhere
Anyone who shoots at distance and needs an optical telephoto, and anyone who wants more than 8GB of RAM or a memory-card slot.
Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence
Two sheets from the maker cover this phone, and each one fills a gap the other leaves: Motorola's support specification article, and Lenovo's PSREF sheet dated 14 June 2023. They agree on the core - Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, 8GB of LPDDR5, 256GB of UFS 3.1, Android 13 at launch, and a 5,000mAh battery with 68W TurboPower and 15W wireless. The panel is pOLED at 2400 x 1080 and 402 ppi, 144Hz with a 360Hz touch sampling rate and a 1,200-nit peak behind Gorilla Glass Victus; the only place the two documents part company is the diagonal, 6.6 inches on Motorola's page against 6.55 on Lenovo's. The camera is where attention is needed. The main sensor is 50MP in a 1/1.5-inch optical format at f/1.8, with omni-directional PDAF and optical stabilisation. Second comes a 13MP ultrawide and macro lens at f/2.2 covering 120 degrees. Third is a depth camera, and that is all either document will say: Lenovo prints the row with its pixel size, aperture and stabilisation cells empty, and Motorola's camera-hardware block does not list it at all. The front camera is 32MP with autofocus at f/2.45, and rear video reaches 8K at 30fps. The body is 158.76 x 74.38 x 8.26mm and 189g, with an aramid-fibre inlay, an aluminium frame and IP68. Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, two microphones, two nano-SIM slots, a long-press-to-assign red key and a one- or two-year mail-in warranty round out the sheet.
Alternatives worth comparing
- Xiaomi 12T Pro — Slightly cheaper at ≈ 205 JD with the same Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and a 200MP main camera on our record, but without the enterprise security layers or the assignable hardware key. (205 JOD · estimate)
- Infinix Zero 40 — The same ≈ 209 JD and about eighteen months newer, with a real 50MP second lens instead of a depth sensor, against a Dimensity 8200 Ultimate that sits below a Qualcomm flagship on our record. (209 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above
At ≈ 209 JD this gets you a 2022 flagship in a genuine work body: aramid fibre, IP68, 5,000mAh, 68W, a programmable red key and published security layers. The limit it never crosses is the camera - two working lenses and a depth sensor - so anyone who needs optical reach should look elsewhere.

What does that mean in plain words?
Battery: 5,000 mAh — a large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 68W — among the fastest around (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: pOLED FHD+, 6.6-inch — an OLED panel (true blacks, higher contrast than LCD).
Camera: 50+13+2 MP (3 lenses) plus a 32 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.
Pros & cons
Pros
- A 2022 flagship that does not shrink the battery to get there: Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with 5,000mAh, 68W wired and 15W wireless charging, and a 36-hour use claim on Lenovo's sheet.
- Work-grade construction: an aramid-fibre inlay, aluminium frame, Gorilla Glass Victus and IP68, plus a red key you assign yourself and the ThinkShield and Moto KeySafe layers listed in Motorola's own table.
- Two physical nano SIMs, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB-C port at USB 3.1 that outputs video over DisplayPort 1.4 according to Lenovo's sheet.
Cons
- There is no telephoto of any kind: Motorola's diagram names the three lenses "main", "ultra-wide and macro" and "depth camera", and the camera-hardware block of the specification article lists only the 50MP main.
- Neither Motorola nor Lenovo publishes a resolution for the depth sensor, so the 2MP figure on our record is unverified.
- Only 8GB of RAM behind flagship silicon, no headphone jack, and Motorola's diagram labels the tray for the SIM card alone, with no memory card.

Specification ambiguity: Some spec fields on this page (rear_cam, screen_in) could not be matched to the manufacturer's own page — either the maker does not publish them, publishes a different figure, or the name covers more than one variant.
