Overview
The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition is a mid-range phone from OnePlus, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 265 (about $375), up to about JOD 305 for higher storage — also an estimate — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.
Its main highlights: its big 7,100 mAh battery, and ultra-fast 80W charging. Its chipset is in the strong tier (78/100 on our spec-based index) — on paper a fit for heavy daily use and most games.
Performance-index rank: #14 of 62 OnePlus phones we list.
Why consider it?
The largest battery OnePlus has ever printed on a phone: 7100mAh typical, paired with 80W wired charging, from ≈ 265. Before anything else, a correction is due - our sheet credited this model with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while OnePlus publishes a Dimensity 9400e.
Who it suits
Someone who ranks endurance above every other consideration, games heavily now and then, and does not mind an imported phone running Chinese software.
Who should look elsewhere
Anyone who needs an ultra-wide or a zoom lens, wants the sharpest screen available at this money, or insists on dealer warranty cover.
Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence
The most important thing in this entry is a correction rather than a verdict. Our sheet said Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. The official spec page on OnePlus's Chinese site says something else entirely: a MediaTek Dimensity 9400e built on 4nm, eight cores peaking at 3.4GHz, with ARM Immortalis G720 graphics. We have amended the data, and the difference matters, because swapping between two chip families reshuffles any performance ranking built on it.
The reason this model exists is the battery: 7100mAh typical and 6930mAh rated, the highest figure OnePlus publishes for any of its handsets, with 80W wired charging. The display is a flat 6.77-inch FHD+ panel at 2392x1080 and 387 PPI, and its refresh ceiling is 120Hz rather than the 144 we previously listed. Peak brightness is quoted at 1300 nits, with PWM and DC dimming both offered.
The camera is the obvious price of admission: a 50MP f/1.8 main with two-axis OIS, a 2MP portrait sensor beside it, and a 16MP selfie camera. No ultra-wide, no zoom. Ingress protection stops at IP64.
One more thing matters for anyone considering an import. The phone is a Chinese release running Chinese ColorOS 15, and the published LTE FDD list reads 1/3/4/5/8/19/28A/66, with Band 7 and Band 20 absent, while 5G covers n1, n3, n8, n28A and n78. This phone has not passed through our hands, every figure above is lifted from OnePlus's own table, and the price we list is an unverified estimate.
Alternatives worth comparing
- Honor X50 GT — The Honor X50 GT lands at about the same figure (≈ 265) with a 5800mAh battery, a 6.78-inch screen, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and a 108+2MP camera that is higher on paper resolution. It is the closest match in intent, but the Ace 5 Racing still holds 1300mAh more capacity and charges at 80W. (265 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above
If the priority is a phone that survives a long day away from a charger, with decent gaming for the least money between ≈ 265 and ≈ 305, the maths here works. The stated limit is what comes with it: an imported Chinese-market phone with one real camera, a 1080p screen and IP64 protection, not a locally warrantied purchase.

What does that mean in plain words?
Battery: 7,100 mAh — a very large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 80W — among the fastest around (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: AMOLED 1.5K, 6.77-inch — above-FHD resolution; OLED means true blacks and high contrast.
Camera: 50 MP (1 lens) plus a 16 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.
Pros & cons
Pros
- 7100mAh typical (6930mAh rated) with 80W wired charging - the biggest cell OnePlus lists for any of its phones
- MediaTek Dimensity 9400e with eight cores to 3.4GHz and ARM Immortalis G720 graphics, LPDDR5x memory and UFS 4.0 storage from 12+256 up to 16+512
- A flat 6.77-inch panel with a 94.1% screen-to-body ratio, 10-bit colour, a quoted 1300-nit peak and PWM plus DC dimming
Cons
- Launched in China only: the official page sits on OnePlus's Chinese site and the software is the Chinese ColorOS 15 build, so it is an import with no dealer warranty
- One genuinely useful rear lens - a 50MP f/1.8 with two-axis OIS - alongside a 2MP portrait sensor, with no ultra-wide and no telephoto
- The screen is FHD+ 2392x1080 at 387 PPI capped at 120Hz, protection is only IP64 splash-level, and the published bands omit Band 7 and Band 20
