Overview
The Tecno Camon 18T is a budget phone from Tecno, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 60 (about $85) — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.
Its main highlights: its strong 48 MP selfie camera, and its vivid OLED display. Its chipset is basic (25/100) — calls, WhatsApp and light browsing, as a first or backup phone.
Performance-index rank: #44 of 179 Tecno phones we list.
Why consider it?
The 18T was built around a single number, and TECNO put it in the headline: a 48 MP front camera, the same nominal resolution the company gives the main rear sensor. Around it sits an early-2022 phone with a 6.8-inch 1080x2460 screen, a Helio G85 and a 5,000 mAh battery with 18 W charging, from ≈ 60 JD.
Who it suits
Someone who points the camera at themselves more often than at anything else and wants a big screen cheaply: messaging, social photos and video rather than gaming.
Who should look elsewhere
Anyone who needs 5G, since TECNO's band list ends at LTE, or a phone whose software keeps moving: it shipped on Android 11 and TECNO publishes no update schedule for it.
Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence
The two archived TECNO sheets, the Pakistan page captured in December 2021 and the global page captured in January 2022 and identical to it line for line, list a 6.8-inch display the maker calls Dot-in FHD+ at 1080x2460, a Helio G85 octa-core, 128 GB of storage with 4 GB of RAM, a 5,000 mAh typical-capacity battery with 18 W flash charge, and a body of 168.86 x 76.67 x 8.95 mm. The cameras are written exactly this way: a triple rear array whose main sensor is 48 MP with dual flash, and a 48 MP front camera, also with dual flash. TECNO never states the resolution or the job of the two helper modules, so the only confirmed rear figure is the main sensor. The band list covers GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, HSPA+ and both FDD and TDD LTE, which puts the phone entirely outside 5G, and NFC does not appear in the connectivity list at all. Three sensors are listed alongside a fingerprint reader, and the launch OS is Android 11. Five of our fields part company with the maker at once: we say Helio G88 and TECNO says G85; we say 33 W and TECNO says 18 W; we say a 16 MP front camera and TECNO says 48 MP; we say 8 GB of RAM and TECNO says 4 GB; and we call the panel AMOLED where TECNO names no panel technology and gives no refresh rate. Most important, the live page is gone: the model is real and documented, but every regional URL now bounces back to a home page, and the CAMON 18 family is missing from TECNO's current sitemap.
Alternatives worth comparing
- Galaxy M05 — A little cheaper (≈ 58 JD) and two years newer: the same Helio G85 TECNO publishes for the 18T, a 5,000 mAh battery and a 50+2 rear pair behind a 6.7-inch 60 Hz screen, but nothing like that selfie resolution. (58 JOD · estimate)
- Galaxy A05s — The same money (≈ 60 JD) buys a 6.7-inch 90 Hz panel, three rear lenses (50+2+2) and a Snapdragon 680, and, not a small thing here, a product page the manufacturer still publishes rather than a sheet you have to read out of an archive. (60 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above
If the goal is a high-resolution selfie and a large screen for as little as possible around ≈ 60 JD, this offers something most of its neighbours do not. The real limit is not processor speed: a phone that launched on Android 11, and whose pages the maker has since pulled from every one of its sites, is one you buy with no published promise of updates and no official sheet to return to.

What does that mean in plain words?
Battery: 5,000 mAh — a large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 18W — standard (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: AMOLED FHD+, 6.8-inch — an OLED panel (true blacks, higher contrast than LCD).
Camera: 48+2 MP (2 lenses) plus a 48 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.
Pros & cons
Pros
- A 48 MP selfie camera with its own dual flash, the feature the model was designed around and still unusual this far down the price list
- 128 GB of storage stated in the manufacturer's own table, behind a 6.8-inch screen at a full 1080x2460
- 5,000 mAh with 18 W charging that TECNO brands Flash Charge, and the charger itself appears in the box contents
Cons
- TECNO records 4 GB of RAM, not the 8 GB in our record, behind a Helio G85 rather than a G88
- No live page survives on any regional TECNO site we tried; the only references left are archived copies of the Pakistan and global sheets
- Android 11 at launch with no published update commitment, no 5G, and no NFC anywhere in the connectivity list
