Overview

The Tecno Spark 10 Pro is a budget phone from Tecno, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 58 (about $80) — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.

Its main highlights: its strong 32 MP selfie camera, and its large 5,000 mAh battery. Its chipset is basic (24/100) — calls, WhatsApp and light browsing, as a first or backup phone.

Performance-index rank: #59 of 179 Tecno phones we list.

Why consider it?

A 32MP front camera with dual flash, a 6.8-inch 1080×2460 screen at 90Hz, 256GB of storage and NFC, from ≈ 58. It is the cheapest TECNO in our catalogue and yet it carries the highest-resolution selfie camera of the lot.

Who it suits

A buyer who wants a big screen, roomy storage and clear selfies for the smallest possible outlay, and asks nothing of the phone beyond everyday use.

Who should look elsewhere

Not for anyone who needs a quick top-up between errands, and not for heavy gaming or 5G coverage.

Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence

Four TECNO sheets — South Africa, Sri Lanka, Palestine and Slovenia — match word for word: a Helio G88 octa-core, a 6.8-inch 1080×2460 display at 90Hz, a 5000mAh battery with 18W charging, a 32MP front camera with dual flash, 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM that the company presents as 16GB by counting 8GB of virtual memory, and HiOS 12.6 on Android 13. The striking entry is that front camera, which out-resolves the one in TECNO's more expensive phones — an inversion of the usual order that matters if selfies are what you care about. Against that, the phrase "50MP AI Triple Rear Camera" is backed by exactly one published number; the other two elements have no resolution anywhere. That leads to a problem with the source rather than the phone: TECNO's French sheet for the same model says only "50 Mpx rear camera", dropping the word triple, and it also omits the NFC the other four sheets list — so the manufacturer's own regional pages do not agree with each other. None of them states the panel technology either. Charging, meanwhile, is stated plainly and modestly at 18W, and that is the visible cost of getting in this cheaply.

Alternatives worth comparing

  • Galaxy A05s — For ≈ 2 more you get three rear lenses, a Snapdragon 680 and Samsung's software, but the front camera drops to 13MP from 32MP and the screen to 6.7 inches. (60 JOD · estimate)
  • Redmi Note 8 Pro — For the same money it offers a Helio G90T and a 64+8+2+2 camera set — stronger on paper in both performance and imaging — but it is a 2019 phone with a 4500mAh battery, a 60Hz screen and no software life left. (58 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above

A rational buy if your budget ceiling is tight and selfies and storage matter more to you than speed. The limit you will notice daily rather than yearly is charging: 18W means filling a 5000mAh battery takes long enough that you plan around it.

What does that mean in plain words?

Chipset: Helio G88 — basic tier (24/100): calls, WhatsApp and light browsing.
Battery: 5,000 mAh — a large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 18W — standard (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: IPS LCD FHD+, 6.78-inch — an LCD panel; lower contrast than OLED, and the norm at this price.
Camera: 50 MP (1 lens) plus a 32 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • A 32MP front camera with dual flash — four times the resolution TECNO puts in the more expensive Pova 5
  • 256GB of storage, 8GB of physical RAM, a side-mounted fingerprint reader and NFC, identical across four regional sheets
  • 8.46mm thick despite a 5000mAh battery and a 6.8-inch 1080×2460 panel running at 90Hz

Cons

  • Charging tops out at 18W: slower than the 33W of the Camon 20 and the 45W of the Pova 5 from the same maker
  • TECNO markets an "AI Triple Rear Camera" but publishes a resolution only for the 50MP main sensor
  • The Helio G88 is an entry-level part with no 5G, and the network row lists 2G, 3G and 4G only
