That is where the paradox shows: the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro at JOD 379 runs a Snapdragon 8 Elite for an index of 94, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra at JOD 599 scores 96 on the same chip. Two points of difference for JOD 220.
Where the extra JOD 220 goes
Into the camera first. The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro uses a 50+8 setup: one main sensor and one small secondary lens, nothing more. The Galaxy S25 Ultra answers with four lenses at 200+50+50+10, and the Honor 400 Pro at JOD 479 offers 200+50+12 with a 50MP front camera and 100W charging. That is the gap you are paying for, not device speed.
Into the screen second. The real trade-off
A higher price does not carry everything with it. The Galaxy S25 Edge at JOD 399 has a 200+12 camera and a 6.7-inch AMOLED 2K screen, but a 3900 mAh battery and 25W charging — the smallest battery and the slowest charging among the devices listed here. The Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra at JOD 569 charges at 33W despite a performance index of 94. You pay more and still concede something else.

- Galaxy S25 Ultra — JOD 599, the highest index in the band at 96 and four lenses at 200+50+50+10.
When moving up from the band below is not worth it
If you use your phone for gaming, apps and ordinary photos, the band below delivers very nearly the same smoothness, and the premium goes to lenses you may never use. A median of 84 here means you will barely feel a performance difference between a JOD 379 phone and a JOD 599 one — the gap shows when you open the camera or zoom in on something distant.
The exception worth taking: the Lenovo Legion Y70 (2026) at JOD 359 — a 144Hz OLED 2K screen, an 8000 mAh battery and an index of 90 at the entry price of the band, with 33W charging as its obvious weakness. And if the camera really is your priority, the ladder is clear: the Galaxy S25 Edge at JOD 399 with two lenses at 200+12, the Honor 400 Pro at JOD 479 with three, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra at JOD 599 with four.
