Overview
The Honor 90 is a lower mid-range phone from Honor, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 209 (about $295), up to about JOD 229 for higher storage — also an estimate — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.
Its main highlights: its 200 MP main camera, and its sharp, bright display. Its chipset is entry-level (50/100) — for messaging, browsing and video; heavy gaming is not its territory.
Performance-index rank: #62 of 234 Honor phones we list.
Why consider it?
The HONOR 90 is built around a curved panel and one very high-resolution sensor: 6.7 inches of AMOLED at 2664x1200 with four curved edges, a 200MP f/1.9 main camera, and a 5000mAh battery charging at 66W, in the ≈ 209 to ≈ 229 range.
Who it suits
Someone who wants a curved, easy-on-the-eyes screen with high-frequency dimming and a 50MP front camera, and who shoots stills far more often than video.
Who should look elsewhere
Not for movement or low light: HONOR's table lists electronic stabilisation only, with no optical stabilisation on any lens.
Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence
The most misread thing about this phone is the 200MP figure, so it is worth settling first: in HONOR's own table that sensor is the main camera itself at f/1.9, followed by a 12MP f/2.2 unit that serves as both ultra-wide and macro, and then a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. The front camera is 50MP at f/2.4, and recording reaches 4K at 3840x2160 in both directions. The stabilisation row, however, names EIS and nothing else, with no optical stabilisation listed, and zoom is digital to 10x. The display is 6.7 inches of AMOLED at 2664x1200 in 19.98:9 with 1.07 billion colours, quad-curved, at a 93.3% screen-to-body ratio, and HONOR states a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz with PWM dimming at 3840Hz. The processor is the accelerated Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, one Cortex-A710 at 2.5GHz, three more at 2.36GHz and four Cortex-A510 at 1.8GHz, with an Adreno 644, on MagicOS 7.1 over Android 13. The battery is 5000mAh typical with 66W charging. Smaller published details: Bluetooth 5.2 with LDAC and aptX HD, Wi-Fi ax with 2x2 MIMO, NFC, an ultrasonic proximity sensor with no physical component, 2D face unlock, and audio out over Type-C with no 3.5mm jack. The Chinese page adds a qualification worth reading: the TÜV Rheinland flicker-free certification for that dimming applies specifically at a 120Hz refresh rate, so dropping the rate takes you outside the condition the certificate was granted under. The body measures 161.9 by 74.1 by 7.8mm at about 183g, and networks reach 5G with data on the secondary SIM.
Alternatives worth comparing
- Galaxy A36 5G — At JOD 206 (observed), it is JOD 3 cheaper. Compare the variants before deciding: 128GB+ versus 256GB+ storage, 5,000 versus 5,000 mAh, and Snapdragon 6 Gen3 versus Snapdragon 7 Gen1. These are specification differences, not measured performance or battery life. (206 JOD · observed) full comparison ›
- Infinix Zero 40 — The same money (≈ 209 JD) buys a stronger Dimensity 8200 Ultimate, a 6.78-inch 144Hz screen and 108MP plus 50MP cameras - you gain performance and lose main-sensor resolution. (209 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above
If the use is a curved screen, detailed stills and fast charging, it holds together between ≈ 209 and ≈ 229. If video or handheld night shooting is the point, the table settles it: electronic stabilisation alone, with no OIS on any of the three lenses.

What does that mean in plain words?
Battery: 5,000 mAh — a large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 66W — fast (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: Curved AMOLED 1.5K, 6.7-inch — above-FHD resolution; OLED means true blacks and high contrast.
Camera: 200+12+2 MP (3 lenses) plus a 50 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.
Pros & cons
Pros
- The 200MP f/1.9 sensor really is the main camera in HONOR's table rather than a secondary lens, and it produces images up to 16256x12192 pixels.
- A 6.7-inch AMOLED at 2664x1200 with a 93.3% screen-to-body ratio and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, dimmed by PWM at 3840Hz.
- 66W wired charging at 11V and 6A in front of a 5000mAh typical (4900mAh rated) cell.
Cons
- No optical stabilisation anywhere: the stabilisation row reads EIS, and zoom is digital to 10x with no dedicated telephoto.
- The third lens is a 2MP f/2.4 depth unit, which leaves only two useful cameras: the main sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide.
- No 3.5mm jack, the silicon on the official sheet is the accelerated Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 rather than a flagship part, and HONOR publishes no memory configuration in its table.
