Overview
The Huawei P50 Pro is a lower mid-range phone from Huawei, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 245 (about $345), up to about JOD 299 for higher storage — also an estimate — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.
Its main highlights: its sharp, bright display, and its vivid OLED display. Its chipset is mid-tier (67/100 on our spec-based index) — the usual class for social media, video, photos and light games.
Performance-index rank: #13 of 226 Huawei phones we list.
Why consider it?
The P50 Pro runs a Snapdragon 888 4G, and that suffix is literal rather than marketing: the network table Huawei publishes for model JAD-LX9 lists LTE, WCDMA and GSM bands and not one 5G band. What you get in exchange is a 6.6-inch 2700x1228 panel and four rear cameras, one of them a 64MP periscope telephoto.
Who it suits
Someone who wants long reach and a high-resolution screen from ≈ 245 JD, whose network use is fully covered by 4G, and whose core apps exist in Huawei's own store.
Who should look elsewhere
Anyone who needs 5G, who depends day to day on apps installed and updated through the Play Store, or who wants a phone the manufacturer still publishes a product page for.
Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence
Huawei names the chip as Snapdragon 888 4G and breaks it down: one Cortex-X1 core at 2.84GHz, three Cortex-A78 at 2.42GHz and four Cortex-A55 at 1.8GHz, with an Adreno 660 GPU. The product page describes it as a 5nm flagship chipset paired with a 3D graphene liquid cooling system.
The display is a 6.6-inch OLED at 2700x1228 and 450 PPI. Refresh climbs to 120Hz, with a Huawei footnote saying that rate applies to dedicated apps and scenarios; touch sampling is 300Hz and low-brightness dimming runs at 1440Hz.
On cameras, Huawei's order is 50MP main with f/1.8 and OIS, 40MP monochrome at f/1.6, 13MP ultra-wide, and a 64MP periscope telephoto at f/3.5 with OIS and autofocus. The advertised 200x figure is defined in Huawei's own footnote as the maximum zoom ratio divided by the ultra-wide magnification, and Huawei publishes no optical zoom factor anywhere on the sheet. The selfie camera is 13MP at f/2.4 with autofocus, and video tops out at 3840x2160.
The cell is 4360 mAh typical and 4260 mAh rated. Wired charging is 66W with Huawei's dedicated charger; the 50W wireless figure requires a stand Huawei sells separately, by its own footnote. The rating is IP68, connectivity is Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and USB 3.1, and the box includes a charger, cable and a clear case depending on market.
The rest is a decision rather than a number: no OS row on the spec table, apps from Huawei's store, and product pages that have been withdrawn from Huawei's live sites, so today's source is an archived copy of Huawei's own page.
Alternatives worth comparing
- Xiaomi 13 — At the same money (≈ 245 JD) you get a Snapdragon 8 Gen2, 5G and ordinary Android with the Play Store; the trade is a smaller 6.36-inch screen and a 12MP telephoto instead of a periscope. (245 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›
- Tecno Camon 40 Premier 5G — The same price (≈ 245 JD) buys a 2025 phone instead: Dimensity 8350 Ultimate, a 6.67-inch 144Hz screen, a 5100mAh battery and 5G - no periscope, but no app-store homework either. (245 JOD · estimate)

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above
If the apps you rely on live in Huawei's store and 4G covers how you actually use a phone, the periscope lens and the 120Hz panel justify ≈ 245 to ≈ 299 JD. What no setting and no update will fix is the radio: this phone is tied to 4G from the factory, and that is a decision you live with for years, not months.

Phones JO index (spec-based)
What does that mean in plain words?
Battery: 4,360 mAh — a mid-size capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 66W — fast (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: OLED 1.5K, 6.6-inch — above-FHD resolution; OLED means true blacks and high contrast.
Camera: 50+40+13+64 MP (4 lenses) plus a 13 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.
Pros & cons
Pros
- A 6.6-inch OLED at 2700x1228 and 450 PPI with up to 120Hz refresh, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and 1.07 billion colours.
- Four rear cameras, in Huawei's own listed order: 50MP main at f/1.8 with OIS, 40MP monochrome at f/1.6, 13MP ultra-wide at f/2.2 and a 64MP periscope telephoto at f/3.5 with OIS and autofocus.
- 4360mAh typical (4260mAh rated) with 66W wired SuperCharge and up to 50W wireless, an IP68 rating, 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage and a USB 3.1 port.
Cons
- Not a single 5G band on Huawei's sheet for JAD-LX9, and the reason is the silicon itself - the variant fitted here carries no 5G modem, so no update can add it.
- The official specification table has no operating-system row at all, the word Android never appears on the page, and apps come from Huawei's store rather than Google's.
- Huawei has pulled the product pages: the global URL returns 404, the Levant URL answers 200 with the phones landing page and never names the model, and the surviving support page lists the name with no spec table under it.
