Overview

The iPhone 11 is a lower mid-range phone from Apple, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 155 (about $220), up to about JOD 179 for higher storage — also an estimate — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.

Its main highlights: its practical balance of price and specs. Its chipset is entry-level (50/100) — for messaging, browsing and video; heavy gaming is not its territory.

Performance-index rank: #32 of 46 Apple phones we list.

Why consider it?

This is the only iPhone in its price band that Apple still lists as compatible with iOS 27, released in September 2026. Our estimated price sits between ≈ 155 and ≈ 179 JOD, and the models just one year older than it have already dropped off that list.

Who it suits

Anyone who wants an iOS device that is still receiving a brand-new operating system, for the smallest outlay, and can live with an LCD panel to get it.

Who should look elsewhere

Anyone who wants a high-density screen, 5G or a fast refresh rate - Apple's sheet lists LTE networks only and states no refresh rate at all for this display.

Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence

What separates the iPhone 11 from the rest of its price band has nothing to do with processor speed. Apple still lists it among the devices compatible with iOS 27, released in September 2026 - a seventh major operating system for a handset launched in 2019. The models just one year older, the XS and XS Max, fell off that list back at iOS 26. It also appears on neither Apple's vintage list nor its obsolete list, which means Apple's own service channel remains open to it. That single fact sets it apart from the three older phones alongside it here.

The price is paid on the display. Apple calls it Liquid Retina HD: a 6.1-inch LCD at 1792 by 828, 326 ppi, 625 nits typical. That is a lower density than the 458 ppi OLED panels in the iPhone X and XS, both of which cost less. The chip is the A13 Bionic with a 6-core CPU, 4-core GPU and 8-core Neural Engine. The rear cameras are 12MP Wide and 12MP Ultra Wide, with Night mode and Deep Fusion on the Wide, and the front camera is 12MP with 4K recording. The body is IP68 to two metres for half an hour, with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, an Ultra Wideband chip and dual SIM support, but no 5G.

Apple publishes no mAh figure, no RAM and no refresh rate. The only battery number available is up to 17 hours of video playback and 65 hours of audio, measured on a unit that left the factory in 2019. Seven years on, the only figure that means anything is the Battery Health percentage in Settings, and we have not inspected a unit.

Alternatives worth comparing

  • Galaxy S21 FE — For roughly the same money (≈ 155 JOD) you get a Snapdragon 888, a 6.4-inch 120Hz screen, a 4500 mAh battery, three rear cameras and a higher placement on our spec index - paid for by stepping outside iOS and its long update cycle. (155 JOD · estimate)
  • Tecno Pova 7 — The same outlay (≈ 155 JOD) buys a 2025 handset with a 6000 mAh battery, a 6.78-inch 144Hz panel and a Dimensity 7300 Ultimate; the decisive difference is that it is new rather than used, and its price with us is observed rather than estimated. Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above

Worth ≈ 155 to ≈ 179 JOD if getting into iOS on a device that still takes a new OS is the first reason you are buying, and you accept an LCD screen and no 5G. It makes no sense if screen quality, speed and charging are the priority, because the same money buys a new 2025 handset that beats it on all three on paper. The honest limit: the battery health of a seven-year-old phone appears on no spec table, and we have not tested a unit or measured its cell.

What does that mean in plain words?

Chipset: Apple A13 Bionic — entry level (50/100) for messaging, browsing and video; not aimed at heavy gaming.
Battery: 3,110 mAh — a relatively small capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 20W — standard (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: LCD HD+, 6.1-inch — an LCD panel; lower contrast than OLED, and the norm at this price.
Camera: 12+12 MP (2 lenses) plus a 12 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Apple still lists it among iOS 27 devices in September 2026 - a seventh major operating system for a 2019 handset, which no older iPhone at this money can offer.
  • Two 12MP rear cameras (Wide at f/1.8, Ultra Wide at f/2.4 with a 120-degree field of view) with Night mode on the Wide lens, plus a 12MP front camera that records 4K - Night mode appears nowhere on the iPhone XS or iPhone X spec sheets.
  • IP68 rated to two metres for 30 minutes, Wi-Fi 6 and an Ultra Wideband chip, and it appears on neither Apple's vintage nor its obsolete product list, unlike the XS, XS Max and X.

Cons

  • A 6.1-inch LCD at 1792 by 828 and 326 ppi - below full HD, and well under the 458 ppi OLED panels in the cheaper iPhone X and XS.
  • No 5G of any kind; Apple lists LTE only, and publishes no refresh rate for the screen, while 2025 handsets at the same money advertise 120Hz and 144Hz.
  • Apple publishes no battery capacity; its only figure is up to 17 hours of video playback for a unit that was new in 2019, there is no adapter in the box, and fast charging requires a separately bought 20W-or-higher adapter.

Note: Unverified reference estimate (derived from launch pricing and comparable phones) — a starting point for negotiation, not a confirmed price. Specs come from official manufacturer announcements and the locally available variant may differ slightly; the indices are computed from specs and we have not tested the phone ourselves. USD equivalents use the official peg.
Specification ambiguity: Some spec fields on this page (battery_mah, charge_w, ram_gb, refresh_hz) could not be matched to the manufacturer's own page — either the maker does not publish them, publishes a different figure, or the name covers more than one variant. Treat them as unconfirmed. Spotted an error? Let us know.
