This is the generation where the word Pro stopped meaning a better screen. The panel is identical to the year before, figure for figure: 6.1 inches, 2556x1179, 460 ppi, ProMotion up to 120 Hz. On paper the lens set is unchanged too — 48 MP main, 12 MP ultra wide, 12 MP 3x telephoto — because the 5x tetraprism went only to the larger body that year.
Four things did genuinely change, and all four are measurable. The frame moved to titanium and the weight dropped to 187 grams from 206, which you feel in one hand. The port became USB-C at USB 3 speeds up to 10 Gb/s, which matters if you pull large video files onto a computer. The A17 Pro raised the GPU to six cores alongside a 16-core Neural Engine. And Apple made this the earliest phone on its Apple Intelligence list.
That last point carries a local caveat worth stating plainly: the language list Apple publishes for those features does not include Arabic. If your interface and your messages are in Arabic, the strongest argument for paying the premium loses much of its weight today.
One closing note on the numbers: Apple promises no battery improvement over the earlier generation, quoting up to 23 hours of video playback for both. Settle your storage tier before you settle the model, because the jump from 524 JOD to ≈ 799 JOD dwarfs the difference between one generation and the next.
