Overview
The Vivo X100s is an upper mid-range phone from Vivo, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 519 (about $735) — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.
Its main highlights: ultra-fast 100W charging, and its sharp, bright display. Its chipset is in the strong tier (86/100 on our spec-based index) — on paper a fit for heavy daily use and most games.
Performance-index rank: #16 of 282 Vivo phones we list.
Why consider it?
A 64MP periscope telephoto that vivo itself calls a ZEISS super telephoto and credits with ZEISS APO certification, on top of a Dimensity 9300+, an LTPO 1.5K panel and both IP68 and IP69 ratings - an unusual combination at ≈ 519 JOD.
Who it suits
Someone who wants a real optical zoom rather than a digital crop, shoots concerts, matches and distant subjects, and does not mind a China-ROM import.
Who should look elsewhere
Not for anyone who wants a light phone - it is 203g - and not for anyone relying on a local warranty or on wireless charging, which vivo's table never mentions.
Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence
The X100s launched in May 2024, the only official spec sheet vivo publishes for it is the Chinese one, and the phone carries the model code V2359A along with a Chinese network-access licence number. That is not merely paperwork: the software is the domestic build of OriginOS 4, and the preinstalled-apps section of that same page lists Chinese stores and platforms.
The camera set is the reason this phone exists. First lens: a 50MP main at f/1.57 with stabilisation vivo rates to CIPA 4.5. Second: a 64MP periscope telephoto at f/2.57, which vivo names as its ZEISS super telephoto and credits with a ZEISS floating lens group and ZEISS APO certification, at 3x optical zoom. Third: a 50MP ultra-wide at f/2.0 that records 4K at 60fps. Our own table lists those lenses in an order that puts the 64MP unit last, when it is in fact the second lens, not the third. As for the 100x figure that leads the marketing, that is the digital ceiling; the optical part of it is 3x.
Away from the cameras, the screen is flat rather than curved, built on an 8T LTPO backplane that varies between 1Hz and 120Hz, with a local peak brightness vivo publishes as 3000 nits - a local peak being measured over a small window, not the whole panel lit. Protection is IP68 and IP69 together, which is rare at any price.
Alternatives worth comparing
- Galaxy S24 Ultra — At JOD 502 (observed), it is JOD 17 cheaper. Compare the variants before deciding: 256GB+ versus 256GB+ storage, 5,000 versus 5,100 mAh, and Snapdragon 8 Gen3 versus Dimensity 9300+. These are specification differences, not measured performance or battery life. (502 JOD · observed) full comparison ›
- Vivo X200 FE — The vivo X200 FE costs ≈ 10 JOD more on the same Dimensity 9300+, but brings a 6500mAh battery in a smaller 6.31-inch body. The substantive difference is the camera: its 50+50+8 set has no 64MP periscope. (529 JOD · estimate)

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above
Worth it at ≈ 519 JOD if the optical zoom specifically is what you are paying for and you can live with 203g in your pocket. The limit that does not move is that this is a Chinese-market model in hardware, software and paperwork: the only spec sheet vivo publishes for it is in Chinese, and its 4G band list omits B20, so check your network before buying.

What does that mean in plain words?
Battery: 5,100 mAh — a large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 100W — among the fastest around (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: AMOLED 1.5K, 6.78-inch — above-FHD resolution; OLED means true blacks and high contrast.
Camera: 50+50+64 MP (3 lenses) plus a 32 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.
Pros & cons
Pros
- Three rear lenses with clearly published roles: a 50MP main at f/1.57 with CIPA 4.5-rated stabilisation, then a 64MP periscope telephoto at f/2.57 with 3x optical zoom and OIS, then a 50MP ultra-wide at f/2.0.
- A 4nm Dimensity 9300+ with quad-channel LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage - the highest memory and storage tiers vivo publishes.
- A flat 6.78-inch AMOLED at 2800x1260 and 452ppi on an 8T LTPO backplane, refreshing adaptively from 1Hz to 120Hz with 2160Hz PWM dimming, plus both IP68 and IP69 ratings.
Cons
- 203g at 7.8mm - heavy for the class, and the periscope stack and dual-cell battery are the direct reasons why.
- The 5100mAh we record is an equivalent figure: vivo publishes a two-cells-in-series design rated at 2550mAh typical at 7.68V. Charging is 100W wired only, with no wireless charging mentioned anywhere.
- A thoroughly China-market device: model code V2359A, a Chinese network-access licence, the domestic build of OriginOS 4 with Chinese apps preloaded, no listing in vivo Jordan's range, and a published 4G FDD band set that does not include B20.
