Overview

The Poco X3 Pro is a budget phone from Xiaomi, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 85 (about $120) — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.

Its main highlights: its large 5,160 mAh battery. Its chipset is entry-level (53/100) — for messaging, browsing and video; heavy gaming is not its territory.

Performance-index rank: #125 of 354 Xiaomi phones we list — and its performance-per-dinar is among the highest we list (an arithmetic ratio, not a verdict on value).

Why consider it?

Because it is the cheapest way into flagship-tier silicon: POCO's table gives it a Snapdragon 860 running to 2.96GHz with UFS 3.1 storage, the largest battery in this group, and a 33W charger stated to be in the box.

Who it suits

Someone who wants a phone that lasts a full day and keeps the headphone jack and the memory-card slot, has no need for 5G, and does not mind a heavy body.

Who should look elsewhere

Anyone who wants 5G, an AMOLED panel, software that still receives updates, or a light phone to carry all day.

Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence

The POCO X3 Pro was built around one idea - a strong processor in a cheap body, with everything else arranged around it. POCO's official table gives it a Snapdragon 860 with a Kryo 485 CPU up to 2.96GHz and an Adreno 640 GPU, LPDDR4X memory and UFS 3.1 storage: fast storage from a higher tier next to memory from an older one. The screen is listed as 6.67 inches at 2400x1080 and 395ppi, with a 120Hz refresh that steps between 50, 60, 90 and 120Hz, but it is rated at only 450 nits typical, and the table never names the panel technology the way the POCO F3 page names AMOLED.

In exchange the phone keeps things that have since vanished elsewhere: a 3.5mm headphone jack, a hybrid slot that accepts a memory card up to 1TB, IP53 splash resistance, an IR blaster and stereo speakers. The battery is 5160mAh and the 33W charger is written into the package contents. The price paid for all that is also on the sheet: 215g and 9.4mm.

The most important gap is not performance but the band table: 2G, 3G and 4G only, with no 5G band anywhere, plus Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. What Xiaomi publishes away from the product page completes the picture. The newest stable package for the Global version is V13.0.3.0.SJUMIXM, MIUI 13 on Android 12, and the model is on the end-of-life list under its India and Taiwan entries. Xiaomi's stated policy promises at least two years of security updates from first shipment - a window that closed long ago for a phone launched in March 2021.

Alternatives worth comparing

  • Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE — At roughly the same price it adds 5G and a far lighter body, but drops to a 4250mAh battery and a 90Hz screen (≈ 85). (85 JOD · estimate)
  • Galaxy F23 5G — A year newer with 5G, a 120Hz screen and a 5000mAh battery at the same price, though its Snapdragon 750G is a weaker chip than the 860 (≈ 85). (85 JOD · estimate)

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above

If the job is a cheap daily workhorse with a big battery, a headphone jack and a card slot, and 4G is enough where you live, it is a rational pick at ≈ 85; the limit that does not move is that this is a phone with no 5G whose software stopped at Android 12 and for which Xiaomi no longer issues patches.

What does that mean in plain words?

Chipset: Snapdragon 860 — entry level (53/100) for messaging, browsing and video; not aimed at heavy gaming.
Battery: 5,160 mAh — a large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 33W — standard (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: IPS LCD FHD+, 6.67-inch — an LCD panel; lower contrast than OLED, and the norm at this price.
Camera: 48+8+2+2 MP (4 lenses) plus a 20 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • A 5160mAh battery, larger than either alternative shown alongside it, and POCO's table explicitly says a 33W charger is included in the box.
  • A Snapdragon 860 with a Kryo 485 CPU up to 2.96GHz alongside UFS 3.1 storage - a performance tier above what is normally offered around ≈ 85.
  • It keeps what newer phones dropped: a 3.5mm headphone jack, a hybrid slot taking a memory card up to 1TB, IP53 splash resistance and an IR blaster.

Cons

  • No 5G at all: the band list in POCO's table stops at 2G, 3G and 4G, and wireless is Wi-Fi 5 with Bluetooth 5.0.
  • The newest stable package Xiaomi offers for the Global version is V13.0.3.0.SJUMIXM - MIUI 13 on an Android 12 base - and the model appears on the end-of-life list under its India and Taiwan entries.
  • It weighs 215g and is 9.4mm thick, and its screen is rated at only 450 nits typical.
