Overview

The Realme 13 Pro+ is a lower mid-range phone from Realme, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 219 (about $310), up to about JOD 259 for higher storage — also an estimate — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.

Its main highlights: ultra-fast 80W charging, and its sharp, bright display. Its chipset is entry-level (52/100) — for messaging, browsing and video; heavy gaming is not its territory.

Performance-index rank: #58 of 205 Realme phones we list.

Why consider it?

Very few phones in this bracket carry two stabilised 50MP cameras: a large-sensor main plus a periscope at a 73mm equivalent, which delivers real optical reach instead of a crop.

Who it suits

Buyers whose first priority is photography, who want genuine zoom and very fast charging, and will trade performance figures for them.

Who should look elsewhere

Anyone who pays by tapping their phone, and anyone chasing the most processing power available at this money.

Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence

What separates the 13 Pro+ from the plain 13 Pro is not the processor, the screen or the battery. realme's own tables list all three identically: a 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 with an Adreno 710 GPU, a curved 6.7-inch OLED at 2412 × 1080 refreshing up to 120Hz, and a 5200mAh cell. Two things change, and only two: the camera system and the charging speed.

The main camera here is a 50MP unit on a 1/1.56-inch Sony LYT-701, 24mm equivalent, f/1.88, with optical stabilisation — a physically larger sensor than the one in the cheaper model. The second lens is the genuine addition: a 50MP LYT-600 periscope at a 73mm equivalent, f/2.65, also stabilised, which works out to roughly three times the reach of the main lens rather than a crop out of a wider frame. An 8MP ultrawide covering 112 degrees sits third, with a 32MP f/2.45 selfie camera on the front.

Charging is 80W SUPERVOOC with an 80W adapter supplied, against 45W on the sibling that shares its battery.

One caveat deserves saying out loud before you pay: realme prints "NO NFC" in the specification table, so this phone cannot make contactless payments. The rest reads Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, IP65, stereo speakers, an optical in-display fingerprint sensor and realme UI 5.0 on Android 14, with two SIM slots and no memory-card slot. The premium over the standard model buys a zoom lens and faster charging, and nothing else.

Alternatives worth comparing

  • Galaxy S23 FE — The Galaxy S23 FE sits at comparable money (≈ 219) with an Exynos 2200 that our index rates 74 against 52 — clearly quicker, but on a 6.4-inch screen, a 4500mAh battery and no zoom lens at all. (219 JOD · estimate)
  • Tecno Pova 7 Ultra 5G — At JOD 289 (estimate), it is JOD 70 more expensive. Compare the variants before deciding: 256GB versus 256GB storage, 6,000 versus 5,200 mAh, and Dimensity 8350 Ultimate versus Snapdragon 7s Gen2. These are specification differences, not measured performance or battery life. (289 JOD · estimate)

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above

If optical zoom and rapid charging are the reasons you are buying, around ≈ 219 and up to roughly ≈ 259 for higher configurations is coherent money; the limit that does not go away is a phone with no NFC and a midrange processor, so anyone who pays by phone or games seriously should look elsewhere.

What does that mean in plain words?

Chipset: Snapdragon 7s Gen2 — entry level (52/100) for messaging, browsing and video; not aimed at heavy gaming.
Battery: 5,200 mAh — a large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 80W — among the fastest around (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: Curved AMOLED 1.5K, 6.7-inch — above-FHD resolution; OLED means true blacks and high contrast.
Camera: 50+50+8 MP (3 lenses) plus a 32 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • 50MP main on a 1/1.56-inch Sony LYT-701 at f/1.88 with OIS, joined by a 50MP periscope at a 73mm equivalent focal length that is also optically stabilised.
  • 80W SUPERVOOC charging with an 80W adapter in the box for a 5200mAh battery (5050mAh rated minimum).
  • An IP65 rating, stereo speakers, an optical under-display fingerprint reader and a quoted 2000-nit local peak brightness.

Cons

  • realme's own spec table states "NO NFC", so there is no tap-to-pay and no contactless reading of any kind.
  • It runs exactly the same chip as the cheaper sibling; our spec index scores it 52 against 74 for the Galaxy S23 FE at comparable money.
  • The panel is 2412 × 1080 (FHD+) rather than 1.5K, it is curved, and the tray holds two SIMs with no microSD slot.
