Overview

The Realme P3x 5G is a budget phone from Realme, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 119 (about $170) — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.

Its main highlights: its big 6,000 mAh battery, and its large 6,000 mAh battery. Its chipset is entry-level (40/100) — for messaging, browsing and video; heavy gaming is not its territory.

Performance-index rank: #88 of 205 Realme phones we list.

Why consider it?

Dimensity 6400, a 6.72-inch 2400x1080 panel at 120Hz, a 6,000mAh battery with 45W charging, plus an IP69 rating and military-grade shock resistance. This is the cheap end of the family, at ≈ 119.

Who it suits

Someone who wants long battery life and a body that survives water and drops, and who does not spend the day looking at video and photos.

Who should look elsewhere

Anyone who cares about black levels and outdoor brightness, shoots 4K video, or needs more than 128GB of storage.

Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence

The P3x is the cheap end of the P3 range, and the useful question is exactly where realme made the savings. The chip is a Dimensity 6400 on a 6nm process, eight cores up to 2.5GHz with Mali-G57 MC2 graphics - not the Dimensity 6300 our record carried, and the entry has been corrected. The biggest saving is the screen. It measures 6.72 inches at 2400x1080 with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling, but realme never names the panel technology and instead publishes 1500:1 contrast, 950 nits peak brightness, 82% NTSC coverage and 4,096-level brightness adjustment. For comparison, the AMOLED models in the same family are quoted at 6,000,000:1 contrast and 2,000 nits peak. That is a difference you see rather than read. What the phone keeps is what matters day to day: a 6,000mAh cell rated 5,860mAh minimum with 45W SuperVOOC charging and the adapter in the box, a 7.94mm chassis at 197g, IP69 and IP68 ratings, military-grade shock resistance and a vegan leather back. The other limits are published just as plainly. Video recording stops at 1080p at 30 or 60fps with no 4K mode, wireless stops at 802.11ac, the fingerprint reader sits on the side rather than under the glass, and storage is fixed at 128GB. The selfie camera's resolution is not published by realme at all, even though the page lists that camera's modes and video formats, so we have logged it as an unverified field. Software is realme UI 6.0 over Android 15, audio is a single Hi-Res certified speaker, and the only page realme hosts for this model is the Indian one.

Alternatives worth comparing

  • Galaxy A17 5G — At JOD 160 (estimate), it is JOD 41 more expensive. Compare the variants before deciding: 128GB+ versus 128GB storage, 5,000 versus 6,000 mAh, and Exynos 1330 versus Dimensity 6300. These are specification differences, not measured performance or battery life. (160 JOD · estimate)
  • Poco M6 Pro — Poco M6 Pro at ≈ 119: a 120Hz AMOLED and a real ultra-wide lens, but it is 4G only and carries a 5,000mAh cell. (119 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above

A sensible pick at ≈ 119 if toughness and battery come before everything else - but if you look at the screen for hours a day, that published 1500:1 contrast is the limit you will run into daily.

What does that mean in plain words?

Chipset: Dimensity 6300 — entry level (40/100) for messaging, browsing and video; not aimed at heavy gaming.
Battery: 6,000 mAh — a very large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 45W — fast (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: IPS LCD FHD+, 6.72-inch — an LCD panel; lower contrast than OLED, and the norm at this price.
Camera: 50+2 MP (2 lenses) plus a 8 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Unusual protection at this level: IP69 and IP68 together, military-grade shock resistance and a vegan leather back.
  • 6,000mAh typical (5,860mAh minimum) with 45W SuperVOOC charging and the adapter supplied, in a 7.94mm body.
  • A Dimensity 6400 clocked up to 2.5GHz, a 50MP OmniVision OV50D main sensor, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Cons

  • realme never names the panel technology, and publishes 1500:1 contrast, 950 nits peak and 82% NTSC coverage - far below what it quotes for the AMOLED models in the same family.
  • Video tops out at 1080p with no 4K option, wireless stops at 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5, not Wi-Fi 6), and the fingerprint reader moves to the side.
  • Storage is 128GB with no larger tier, and the selfie camera's resolution is not published on the spec page at all.

Note: Unverified reference estimate (derived from launch pricing and comparable phones) — a starting point for negotiation, not a confirmed price. Specs come from official manufacturer announcements and the locally available variant may differ slightly; the indices are computed from specs and we have not tested the phone ourselves. USD equivalents use the official peg.
Specification ambiguity: Some spec fields on this page (chip, front_cam, screen_type) could not be matched to the manufacturer's own page — either the maker does not publish them, publishes a different figure, or the name covers more than one variant.
