Overview
The Vivo iQOO 9 SE is a lower mid-range phone from Vivo, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 139 (about $195) — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.
Its main highlights: its vivid OLED display, and its fast 66W charging. Its chipset is mid-tier (68/100 on our spec-based index) — the usual class for social media, video, photos and light games.
Performance-index rank: #51 of 282 Vivo phones we list.
Why consider it?
The cheapest route into Snapdragon 888-class silicon inside the iQOO 9 family, and the one member with the biggest battery of the four - 4500 mAh - behind a 6.62-inch 120 Hz AMOLED.
Who it suits
A buyer who wants top-tier processing for the least outlay and will trade charging speed for a larger cell.
Who should look elsewhere
Anyone for whom the camera comes first, or who expects the 120 W charging the rest of this family is known for.
Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence
The 9 SE is the cheapest way into Snapdragon 888-class silicon in this family, and iQOO's India table describes it exactly: 8 GB or 12 GB of memory, 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, a 6.62-inch AMOLED at 2400x1080 and 120 Hz with a 1200-nit peak and HDR10+, and a 4500 mAh battery (4380 mAh rated) with 66 W charging - half a charge in fourteen minutes, a full one in thirty-nine.
The cameras, by their published roles: a 48 MP main with optical stabilisation at f/1.79, then a 13 MP 120-degree ultra-wide that also serves as the macro lens at f/2.2, then a 2 MP mono sensor at f/2.4. That third element is not an independent shooting angle, so the usable set is the main and the ultra-wide. The selfie camera is 16 MP at f/2.0, a wider aperture than the f/2.45 front cameras on the other three phones in the range.
The distance from the standard iQOO 9 is more than the chip. Charging drops from 120 W to 66 W, the vapour chamber shrinks from 3758 mm2 to 1551 mm2, and the third lens becomes mono instead of a 13 MP portrait unit. In return the battery grows from 4350 mAh to 4500 mAh. The SE is a different balance, then, not a smaller copy: longer endurance, slower refills, less cooling.
Gamers should note one more asymmetry. iQOO quotes a 300 Hz touch sampling rate, 1000 Hz instant touch and stereo speakers, but a single Z-axis linear motor where the iQOO 9 has two. The only live official page for this model is the Indian one.
Alternatives worth comparing
- Vivo iQOO 8 — The iQOO 8 is ≈ 4 JD cheaper (JOD ≈ 135), carries the same Snapdragon 888 class, ties it on our spec index, and its third lens is 13 MP rather than 2 MP - the cost being a smaller 4350 mAh battery and a 2021 launch. (135 JOD · estimate)
- Galaxy S21 — The Galaxy S21 is ≈ 4 JD cheaper (JOD ≈ 135) and comes from a brand with established local service, with a 12+64+12 set that includes real zoom reach - but a 4000 mAh battery and a 6.2-inch screen mean less endurance and less display area. (135 JOD · estimate)

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above
If the goal is flagship silicon for the smallest sum and 66 W charging is acceptable, the 9 SE gets you there at JOD ≈ 139 with more battery than its siblings. If photography matters, the limit is plain: the third lens is a 2 MP mono sensor, so you are buying a two-angle camera.

Phones JO index (spec-based)
What does that mean in plain words?
Battery: 4,500 mAh — a mid-size capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 66W — fast (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: AMOLED FHD+, 6.62-inch — an OLED panel (true blacks, higher contrast than LCD).
Camera: 48+13+2 MP (3 lenses) plus a 16 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.
Pros & cons
Pros
- A 5 nm Snapdragon 888 with 8 GB or 12 GB of memory and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage
- 4500 mAh (4380 mAh rated) is the largest pack in the iQOO 9 family, and 66 W charging reaches half in fourteen minutes
- AMOLED panel at 2400x1080 and 120 Hz with a 1200-nit peak, HDR10+ certification and an SGS eye-care rating
Cons
- The third lens is a 2 MP mono sensor, so in practice you have two working focal lengths rather than three
- A 1551 mm2 vapour chamber against 3758 mm2 on the standard iQOO 9, and one linear motor instead of two
- No wireless charging and no ingress rating on the product page, and it shipped on Funtouch OS 12 over Android 12
