Overview
The Vivo iQOO Z9s Pro is a lower mid-range phone from Vivo, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 169 (about $240) — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.
Its main highlights: ultra-fast 80W charging, and its sharp, bright display. Its chipset is mid-tier (62/100 on our spec-based index) — the usual class for social media, video, photos and light games.
Performance-index rank: #68 of 282 Vivo phones we list.
Why consider it?
The Pro differs from the plain Z9s in exactly four published ways: a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 instead of a Dimensity 7300, 80W charging instead of 44W, an 8MP ultra-wide as the second lens instead of a 2MP bokeh unit, and a vapor chamber. Screen, battery, main camera and selfie camera are identical across the pair.
Who it suits
Someone who wants genuinely fast refills and performance that holds up through long gaming sessions at around ≈ 169 JOD, and who is comfortable buying an imported handset.
Who should look elsewhere
Not for a heavy photographer - there is no optical zoom and no third lens - and not for anyone who needs a warranty they can walk into locally.
Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence
iQOO is vivo's sub-brand, and the only official page for this model sits on its Indian site, where the parameter table closes with a single line under Additional Information: India.
What separates the Pro from the standard Z9s comes down to four items, all of them iQOO's own published figures. Silicon first: a 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 with Adreno 720 here, a Dimensity 7300 there. Then charging: 80W against 44W, on a battery identical down to both the typical and the rated number. Then the second rear lens: an 8MP ultra-wide in place of a 2MP bokeh unit. Then cooling: a 30 square-centimetre vapor chamber and eight temperature sensors that the plain model does not have. Outside that list the two are twins - the same 50MP Sony IMX882 main with OIS, the same 16MP selfie camera, the same curved 6.77-inch panel, the same 7.49mm thickness, the same Funtouch OS 14 on Android 14 and the same IP64 rating.
Two details deserve attention. The display is the same size and resolution on both phones; only the headline brightness claim changes, 4500 nits quoted as a local peak here against 1800 nits quoted as peak on the standard model, which are not the same measurement to begin with. And the extra 12GB of RAM iQOO advertises is storage borrowed in software, not physical memory. A footnote also limits the panel's 144Hz mode to certain supported games rather than to general use.
Alternatives worth comparing
- Nothing CMF Phone 2 Pro — CMF Phone 2 Pro at ≈ 169 JOD: the same 6.77-inch screen size at effectively the same money, with three rear lenses (50+50+8) against two here and a 144Hz panel. The trade is a 5000mAh battery rather than 5500, and a spec index of 55 against 62. (169 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›
- Vivo iQOO 9 — The iQOO 9 costs ≈ 4 JOD less and scores 69 against 62 on our spec index thanks to its flagship Snapdragon 888+. The catch is that it is a 2022 phone with a 4350mAh battery - under two-thirds of what the Z9s Pro carries - and a smaller 6.56-inch screen. (165 JOD · estimate)

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above
Worth it at ≈ 169 JOD if charging speed and sustained performance are what you are paying for, and you accept an import with no local agent behind it. If photography is a real part of your use, the ceiling does not move: two rear lenses, no optical zoom.

What does that mean in plain words?
Battery: 5,500 mAh — a large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 80W — among the fastest around (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: AMOLED 1.5K, 6.77-inch — above-FHD resolution; OLED means true blacks and high contrast.
Camera: 50+8 MP (2 lenses) plus a 16 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.
Pros & cons
Pros
- 80W charging on a 5500mAh cell - double the figure iQOO publishes for the plain Z9s, on a literally identical battery (5500mAh typical, 5390mAh rated).
- A 30 square-centimetre stainless-steel vapor chamber with eight NTC temperature sensors, absent from the non-Pro model, alongside a 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 with Adreno 720 graphics.
- A 7.49mm, 185g body that still holds the 5500mAh cell and an IP64 rating, with a curved 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED and 2160Hz PWM dimming.
Cons
- Two rear lenses only: a 50MP Sony IMX882 main at f/1.79 with OIS, then an 8MP ultra-wide at f/2.2. No optical zoom of any kind.
- iQOO publishes the panel as 2392x1080 - FHD+, not the 1.5K our table records, and the same resolution as the cheaper sibling.
- The official parameter table ends with the line 'India', the model does not appear in vivo Jordan's line-up, and the band list is tuned for India: 4G FDD covers only B1/B3/B5/B8/B28B.
