Overview
The Galaxy M35 5G is a lower mid-range phone from Samsung, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 135 (about $190), up to about JOD 156 for higher storage — also an estimate — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.
Its main highlights: its big 6,000 mAh battery, and its vivid OLED display. Its chipset is entry-level (47/100) — for messaging, browsing and video; heavy gaming is not its territory.
Performance-index rank: #69 of 342 Samsung phones we list.
Why consider it?
The heaviest spec sheet at this level: a 5nm Exynos 1380 with a vapour cooling chamber, a 6000mAh battery, an FHD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED panel and Gorilla Glass Victus+ — a first for the M series according to Samsung's release — at around ≈ 135.
Who it suits
Someone who wants two days of battery, a smooth screen and steady performance under load, and does not mind a relatively heavy phone in exchange.
Who should look elsewhere
Anyone after something light and slim, genuinely fast charging, or a high-resolution front camera for selfies and streaming.
Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence
The launch release and the product page agree on the fundamentals: an octa-core 5nm Exynos 1380 at 2.4GHz and 2.0GHz, a vapour cooling chamber, a 16.83cm full-rectangle screen at 1080 x 2340 with a 120Hz ceiling and 1000 nits in high brightness mode, a 6000mAh battery, a triple rear camera of 50MP F1.8 with optical stabilisation plus 8MP and 2MP, a 13MP F2.2 front camera, 4K video at 30fps and slow motion to 480fps. One detail is worth pausing on: Samsung's table writes 'Super AMOLED' without the Plus, while the M55 and F55 tables carry 'Super AMOLED Plus', so the difference reads as deliberate rather than an oversight. A second concerns the battery, where the same page quotes a rated minimum of 5830mAh in one footnote and 5880mAh in another, a contradiction inside a single source. In practice the phone trades: it gives you the largest battery, Victus+, stereo speakers and NFC payments through Samsung Wallet, and it takes 222g, 9.1mm and 25W charging with the charger sold separately, and it drops the headphone jack, since the table lists audio out over USB-C. Locally the bands are not a worry: B1, B3, B7, B8, B20 and B28 on LTE, and n1, n3, n28 and n78 on 5G. What remains is that this is an India-channel model, that what reaches us follows the importer rather than the manufacturer, and that everything above is read off published tables rather than from use.
Alternatives worth comparing
- Galaxy S21 — At the same level (≈ 135) you get a 2021 flagship on an Exynos 2100 with a spec index of 66 against 47, but with a 4000mAh battery, a smaller 6.2-inch screen, and less update runway left than a 2024 phone carries. (135 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›
- Vivo Y300 — At the same level (≈ 135) you get a newer phone with a 6.67-inch 120Hz screen and a 5000mAh battery, but on a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 with a spec index of 38 against 47, and without Victus+ glass or the 6000mAh cell. (135 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above
If the priority is a battery that refuses to die, a 120Hz panel and the durability of Victus+, this is the strongest thing Samsung offers at this level, and the four-upgrade, five-year pledge makes it a relatively long-term buy. If you charge in a hurry or hold the phone one-handed all day, 25W and 222g are real constraints. The limit is plain: the SM-M356B was launched into an Indian channel that does not appear in Samsung's Levant pages, and the number here is a reference estimate.

What does that mean in plain words?
Battery: 6,000 mAh — a very large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 25W — standard (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: Super AMOLED+, 6.6-inch — an OLED panel (true blacks, higher contrast than LCD).
Camera: 50+8+2 MP (3 lenses) plus a 13 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.
Pros & cons
Pros
- A 6000mAh battery paired with a 5nm Exynos 1380 and a vapour cooling chamber; Samsung's page records up to 27 hours of LTE browsing and 31 hours of video playback
- Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front, which Samsung calls a first for the M series, alongside stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos
- The product page commits to four generations of OS upgrades and five years of security updates, a longer window than many more expensive phones get
Cons
- Charging tops out at 25W for a 6000mAh cell, and Samsung states outright that the wall charger is sold separately
- It weighs 222g and measures 9.1mm thick, which you feel against the 180g and 7.8mm of the M55
- The front camera is only 13MP at F2.2, Samsung publishes no water or dust rating for the phone, and the figure we show is an unverified estimate

Specification ambiguity: Some spec fields on this page (battery_mah, charge_w, ip_rating, ram_gb, screen_type) could not be matched to the manufacturer's own page — either the maker does not publish them, publishes a different figure, or the name covers more than one variant. Treat them as unconfirmed. Spotted an error? Let us know.
