Overview
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is a mid-range phone from Samsung, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 259 (about $365), up to about JOD 299 for higher storage — also an estimate — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.
Its main highlights: its vivid OLED display. Its chipset is mid-tier (68/100 on our spec-based index) — the usual class for social media, video, photos and light games.
Performance-index rank: #33 of 342 Samsung phones we list.
Why consider it?
This device sells display area before anything else: 7.6 inches at 2208x1768 inside, 6.2 inches at 2268x832 on the cover, both at a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Samsung's table pairs that with 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage at minimum, and the first S Pen support on a foldable.
Who it suits
Someone who reads, edits and splits the screen constantly, wants a small-tablet surface in a pocket at an estimated price far under current foldables, and will genuinely use a dedicated pen on the inner display.
Who should look elsewhere
Anyone working around dust or on sites, because IPX8 covers water and not dust in Samsung's own wording. And not for a buyer who needs the phone to stay inside a published security-update window.
Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence
In the same 11 August 2021 release, the Z Fold3 gets a 7.6-inch main screen at 2208x1768 and 374ppi with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a 6.2-inch cover screen at 2268x832 running the same adaptive rate - closed, the device is a full phone rather than a notification strip. Memory is 12GB with 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and the battery is 4,400mAh with a 4,275mAh rated minimum, charging at 25W wired, 10W wireless and 4.5W reverse. The rear set is three 12MP lenses: an F2.2 ultrawide, an F1.8 wide with OIS and an F2.4 telephoto with OIS and 2x optical zoom. There are two front-facing cameras rather than one - a 10MP unit on the cover screen and a 4MP under-display camera on the inner panel - and our entry records only the first. This was also the first foldable to take an S Pen, with Samsung insisting the support applies to the inner screen alone and only to the Fold Edition and Pro pens. IPX8 covers submersion to 1.5 metres for thirty minutes and excludes dust in the footnote's own words. The AP field carries three clock speeds and no name, so our Snapdragon 888 is unconfirmed. Heaviest of all for a buyer in 2026: it launched on Android 11, was named in the February 2022 pledge, and appears nowhere in Samsung's security lists today, which begin at the Z Fold4.
Alternatives worth comparing
- Poco F6 — For the same money (≈ 259 JD) our catalog records a Snapdragon 8s Gen3, a 5,000mAh battery and a spec index of 79 against 68, on a 2024 model rather than a 2021 one. But it is a single 6.67-inch screen: you buy performance and give up the whole reason for the Fold3. (259 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›
- Realme 15 — A 2025 model at the same price (≈ 259 JD): our catalog gives it a 7,000mAh battery and a 6.77-inch 144Hz screen, with a spec index of 55 against 68. The pick for someone who wants battery life and a recent launch date instead of 7.6 inches of display. (259 JOD · estimate)

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above
If what you are paying for is 7.6 inches in a pocket, 12GB of memory and a pen on the inner screen, nothing else in our catalog at ≈ 259-≈ 299 JD gives you that shape. If the phone will live around dust, or you need it covered by a published security window, the ceiling is fixed: water but not dust, and a device that has fallen off Samsung's current security lists.

Phones JO index (spec-based)
What does that mean in plain words?
Battery: 4,400 mAh — a mid-size capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 25W — standard (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: Foldable AMOLED, 7.6-inch — an OLED panel (true blacks, higher contrast than LCD).
Camera: 12+12+12 MP (3 lenses) plus a 10 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.
Pros & cons
Pros
- A 7.6-inch 2208x1768 main screen at 374ppi plus a 6.2-inch 2268x832 cover screen, both running Samsung's 120Hz adaptive refresh rate
- 12GB of memory with 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and three 12MP rear cameras: an ultrawide, a stabilised wide and a stabilised 2x telephoto
- The first foldable with S Pen support on the inner display, limited by Samsung to the S Pen Fold Edition and S Pen Pro
Cons
- IPX8 without dust resistance, which Samsung states outright in the footnote to its own table
- The AP field carries clock speeds of 2.84, 2.4 and 1.8GHz and the words "5nm octa-core" with no commercial name, so the Snapdragon 888 in our entry is unpublished by the maker
- The Z Fold3 appears in none of the security-update groups on Samsung's page today; the foldable list starts at the Z Fold4
