Overview
The OnePlus 12 is a mid-range phone from OnePlus, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 339 (about $480), up to about JOD 389 for higher storage — also an estimate — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.
Its main highlights: ultra-fast 100W charging, and its sharp, bright display. Its chipset is in the strong tier (88/100 on our spec-based index) — on paper a fit for heavy daily use and most games.
Performance-index rank: #7 of 62 OnePlus phones we list.
Why consider it?
A complete flagship sheet: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a 6.82-inch LTPO panel at 3168×1440, three rear cameras with genuinely separate jobs led by a 50 MP main, and a 5,400 mAh battery with 100 W wired and 50 W wireless charging.
Who it suits
Someone who wants the full top-tier list — QHD+ resolution, a real optical telephoto and wireless charging — in one phone with nothing missing.
Who should look elsewhere
Anyone who wants a phone usable in one hand, or who only ever shoots with the main camera and has no use for zoom.
Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence
We worked from the global spec table on oneplus.com and re-read it on the UK version of the same page; the numbers matched. The chipset is published under its full name as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform with an Adreno 750 GPU — a Qualcomm part, checked literally against the company's own table rather than recalled. Memory is LPDDR5X at 12 or 16 GB, storage UFS 4.0 at 256 or 512 GB, and the software is OxygenOS 14 on Android 14.
The display is the clearest thing about this model: 6.82 inches at 3168×1440 and 510 ppi, a ProXDR LTPO panel that drops to 1 Hz and climbs to 120, rated 1,600 nits in high-brightness mode and 4,500 at peak, under Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Camera order matters here. The main is 50 MP on a 1/1.4-inch Sony LYT-808 at f/1.6 and a 23 mm equivalent, optically stabilised. Next is the periscope telephoto, 64 MP on an OmniVision OV64B, 3x optical at 70 mm and also stabilised. Third is the 48 MP ultra-wide on a Sony IMX581 covering 114 degrees, with autofocus and 3.5 cm macro. The front camera is 32 MP on a Sony IMX615. OnePlus lists the phrase 'Hasselblad Camera for Mobile' among this model's camera features — that is its published wording, quoted without addition.
The battery is 5,400 mAh built as two 2,700 mAh cells in series, as the page's own footnotes explain, with 100 W wired and 50 W wireless charging. Elsewhere in the table: Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, an infrared sensor and the side alert slider. The gap between ≈ 339 and ≈ 389 in our record tracks the memory and storage configurations.
Alternatives worth comparing
- OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra — For the same money, ≈ 339, you get a Dimensity 9400+, a 6,700 mAh battery and a panel reaching 165 Hz — but a 50+8 MP rear set with no telephoto, and OnePlus sells it in China only. (339 JOD · estimate) full comparison ›
- Galaxy S25 — At JOD 340 (estimate), it is JOD 1 more expensive. Compare the variants before deciding: 128GB+ versus 256GB+ storage, 4,000 versus 5,400 mAh, and Snapdragon 8 Elite versus Snapdragon 8 Gen3. These are specification differences, not measured performance or battery life. (340 JOD · estimate)

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above
If you want a top-tier sheet with no empty box — QHD+ resolution, a 3x optical telephoto, 50 W wireless — then what ≈ 339 puts in front of you, and up to ≈ 389, has few rivals at this level. But if your phone goes out in rain and dust and you want a written number to reassure you, no IP rating appears in this model's table at all.

What does that mean in plain words?
Battery: 5,400 mAh — a large capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 100W — among the fastest around (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: LTPO AMOLED 2K, 6.82-inch — above-FHD resolution; OLED means true blacks and high contrast.
Camera: 50+64+48 MP (3 lenses) plus a 32 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.
Pros & cons
Pros
- A 6.82-inch display at 3168×1440 and 510 ppi, a ProXDR LTPO panel running from 1 to 120 Hz, with a published 4,500-nit peak.
- Three rear cameras with real roles: a 50 MP main on a 1/1.4-inch Sony LYT-808, a 64 MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 48 MP ultra-wide covering 114 degrees.
- 100 W SUPERVOOC wired charging plus 50 W AIRVOOC wireless, both printed in OnePlus's own table.
Cons
- OnePlus publishes no IP rating for water or dust resistance in this model's spec table.
- A 75.8 mm wide body around a 6.82-inch screen: one-handed use is not what this phone is for.
- The listed software is OxygenOS 14 on Android 14, so the starting point is two generations behind the current models in the same series.
