OPPO launched the Find X8 series globally on 21 November 2024 in Bali, and the plain Find X8 is the small one: 6.59 inches, 193g, 7.85mm thick. A flagship you can still work one-handed has become an unusual proposition, and that is the clearest thing separating this model from its Pro sibling.
The silicon is a Dimensity 9400 with an Immortalis-G925 GPU, LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage. The flexible AMOLED runs 2760 x 1256 at 460 ppi and up to 120Hz with 10-bit colour; OPPO quotes 800 nits typical, 1600 nits in high-brightness mode and a 4500-nit peak measured across 1% of the panel.
Cameras are the headline. All three rear sensors are 50MP: the f/1.8 main has two-axis OIS, the 3x periscope telephoto at f/2.6 has OIS as well, and the 120-degree ultra-wide at f/2.0 focuses, so it doubles as the macro lens. OPPO credits Hasselblad for the co-developed imaging system, and the selfie camera is 32MP. Treat the advertised 0.6x-120x range carefully, though: past 10x the extra reach is computation, not glass.
The battery is 5630mAh typical (5490mAh rated), described in OPPO's launch release as silicon-carbon, charging at 80W over the cable and 50W wirelessly. Protection is IP68 and IP69, and the software is ColorOS 15.
