Overview

The Asus Zenfone 10 is a mid-range phone from Asus, with an unverified reference price of about JOD 319 (about $450), up to about JOD 369 for higher storage — also an estimate — an estimate, not a confirmed market price. Below is its full spec sheet with a plain-language breakdown, pros and cons, and how it compares to its rivals. We have not tested this phone ourselves; everything here is derived from published specifications.

Its main highlights: its strong 32 MP selfie camera, and its vivid OLED display. Its chipset is in the strong tier (82/100 on our spec-based index) — on paper a fit for heavy daily use and most games.

Performance-index rank: #8 of 52 Asus phones we list.

Why consider it?

One of the few phones that stayed genuinely small: 172 g, 146.5 x 68.1 x 9.4 mm and a 5.9-inch screen, carrying a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, a 3.5 mm jack and a 30 W charger in the box.

Who it suits

Anyone who wants a phone usable in one hand without dropping to mid-range silicon, and who values the six-axis hybrid gimbal on the main camera for video.

Who should look elsewhere

Anyone who needs two-day battery life, anyone who wants a telephoto lens, or anyone who uses the phone for long stretches in bright midday sun.

Performance, camera, display and battery — and the limits of the evidence

We used the Tech Specs table on ASUS's global site. It records a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (SM8550) at 3.2 GHz with Adreno 740 graphics, LPDDR5X memory in 8 GB and 16 GB tiers, UFS 4.0 storage in 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB tiers, and Android 13 at launch. The screen is a 5.9-inch 20:9 Samsung AMOLED at 2400 x 1080 behind Gorilla Glass Victus, with peak brightness given as 1,100 nits. The 144 Hz figure in our record needs careful reading: ASUS footnotes it, explaining that the rate can only be enabled inside Game Genie while playing mobile games, so everyday use sits below it. The battery is 4,300 mAh, wired charging reaches 30 W over PD 3.0 PPS and QC 4.0, that same 30 W adapter is included in the box, and wireless charging is supported without a wattage stated in the table. There are two rear cameras, in role order: a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main sensor at 1/1.56 inch with an f/1.9 aperture and a second-generation six-axis hybrid gimbal stabiliser, then a 13 MP 120-degree ultrawide. The front camera is a 32 MP RGBW sensor that bins down to an 8 MP image. ASUS also lists dual stereo speakers with Qualcomm WSA8835 amplifiers, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 with LDAC and aptX Lossless. In short, a 2017 footprint around 2023 hardware, and the price of that is written in the battery row.

Alternatives worth comparing

  • Xiaomi 13 Pro — The Xiaomi 13 Pro is ≈ 4 JOD cheaper on the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but with a 4,820 mAh battery, a 6.73-inch screen and three 50 MP cameras, which is the opposite of what the Zenfone is for. (315 JOD · estimate)
  • iPhone 13 Pro — At JOD 409 (observed), it is JOD 90 more expensive. Compare the variants before deciding: 128GB+ versus 128GB+ storage, 3,095 versus 4,300 mAh, and Apple A15 Bionic versus Snapdragon 8 Gen2. These are specification differences, not measured performance or battery life. (409 JOD · observed)

Verdict — conditional on your needs and the documented price above

The right call at ≈ 319 JOD if small size is your first criterion and you still want flagship-class silicon. If your days run long away from a socket, the limit is plain: a 4,300 mAh battery and charging that stops at 30 W.

Approximate ratings computed from the published specs (display type and refresh rate, cameras, battery and charging, and price vs. performance) — not lab tests.

What does that mean in plain words?

Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Gen2 — a strong tier (82/100 on specs), on paper suited to most games and demanding apps.
Battery: 4,300 mAh — a mid-size capacity by market standards. Capacity is an indicator, not a measurement: real endurance depends on the display, chipset and your usage, and we have not measured it.
Charging: 30W — standard (rated charging power; actual charge time varies with the charger and temperature).
Display: Super AMOLED FHD+, 5.92-inch — an OLED panel (true blacks, higher contrast than LCD).
Camera: 50+13 MP (2 lenses) plus a 32 MP front camera. Megapixels and lens count describe the setup, not image quality — real results depend on the sensor and processing, which we have not tested.

Specs come from official manufacturer announcements and the locally available variant may differ slightly; the indices are computed from specs and we have not tested the phone ourselves. Specification ambiguity: Some spec fields on this page (refresh_hz, screen_type) could not be matched to the manufacturer's own page — either the maker does not publish them, publishes a different figure, or the name covers more than one variant.
